On the Rokinon 20mm the filter will not rotate, so you can set your polarizer and then refocus without affecting it.

I don’t have a comparison with the loxia wide open, I shoot mainly landscapes on a tripod, but I suspect the loxia would be better wide open ... it is three times the price for a reason. There was very little diffraction at f11, f16 is where it becomes noticeable.

I used to own a Sony A7r with a Zeiss Loxia 21mm and I compared photos of the same scene taken with the Rokinon and K-1 (non pixel shift) stopped down at about f11 ... no discernable difference at 100% peeping.

There is a substantial difference in the original images, definitely not a post processing problem. I did not check the histogram of the pixel shift when I was shooting because I checked the standard version and it was ok. I made the mistake of assuming that the pixel shift image would be exposed the same way. I now know I should check it more carefully. The next time I am in a similar situation I will also try to see if there is a difference between shooting pixel shift with motion on vs off as well. Below are the images again with no processing (I should have posted them this way in the beginning), I exposed to the right but the highlights are still manageable in the standard version (first photo), but blown in the pixel shift version (second photo). At least that is the way I interpret it. ---------- Post added 06-13-17 at 05:04 PM ----------
Opps, the images did not show up for some reason, but I think everyone gets the idea by now.

For the pixel shift image I used Pentax Camera Utility 5 to import and then exported to tif, the std photo was imported to Lightroom. Even before the limited processing I did, the highlights were blown, actually quite a bit more than after processing so I don't think it has anything to do with processing. I did have motion detection on.

Apologies if this issue has been covered before, but I have noticed that my highlights are being blown when using pixel shift. Below are two shots, one in standard raw mode and the other in pixel shift taken 30 seconds apart. Both are using a K-1 with a Rokinon 20mm f1.8 lens shot at f11, 1/10, ISO 100 and using a graduated ND filter to darken the sky. The photos are not keepers so no big deal, but I would have thought that pixel shift had more dynamic range? The detail is far superior in the pixel shift photo and far less noise, but I guess I will have to learn to compensate in the future for pixel shift highlights. Still love the K-1 though. First photo is standard mode, second is pixel shift.
Cheers,
Vytas

Yes, thank you, I know to set the lens to manual, but I find it hard to focus accurately focus when it it stopped down. I kind of eliminated the 35mm f2 because I wanted a smaller lens, maybe I should reconsider if it is not too much larger. Is it better (sharper) than the 35mm f2.8 (A)?

I know that there have been previous posts about this question, however, I would like to state it a little differently. I have a Super-Takumar 3.5 35mm lens for my Spotmatic that I love. I would like a similar lens, size and rendering, for K mount. Previous threads suggest both the Pentax K 35mm 3.5 and the Pentax-A 35mm 2.8. I would use it primarily for B&W film photography, would I see a difference between these lenses? Also, since I may bite the bullet and get a K-1 in the future, does anyone have any actual experience with these lenses on the K-1 who would like to add their thoughts? Could not find much on flickr.
Thanks,
Vytas

Pentax 645D and Pentax FA 645 45-85mm Zoom Asking Price
2,450.00 USD Item Location
Vancouver (Canada) Item Description
Selling separately a Pentax 645D for $2,450 USD and Pentax SMC FA 645 45-85 f/4.5 Zoom (Sold). Shipping is $30 each.
Pentax 645D medium format DLSR camera, body only, with 40MB sensor. Body is in excellent condition and everything works properly. AF is fast and accurate, sensor and mirror are clean, and it has a very low shutter count of only 11,075. The 40MG sensor is resolution wise almost identical to the sensor of the far more expensive 645Z as well as the new offerings form Fuji and Hasselblad. Additionally, the color generated from the 40MB CCD sensor of the 645D is superior to the others. Camera comes with body cap, 2 batteries, manual (in Japanese but you can download the English version for free), wireless remote, and battery charger. There is also a Martin Fields screen protector on both the rear and top LCD and I will include a spare one since it came with two. This is your best option to get into the awesome world of medium format digital without breaking the bank.
(Sold) Pentax SMC FA 645 45-85 f/4.5 zoom lens for Pentax 645, 645N (II), 645D and 645Z film and digital cameras. Lens is in excellent condition with only minimal usage marks on the barrel and the glass is clear of any scratches, haze or fungus. Has some normal dust inside. Auto focus and manual focus work properly, aperture clicks nicely, and auto focus was spot on with my 645N and 645D.
This is my first sale on Pentaxforums, however I have a 100% trusted seller reputation on ebay as vytas1210. Are you the original owner of the item being sold?

I have just received a Pentax 645D (I love it!!!) and I was wondering if there is a way to do interval shooting with the mirror remaining up as in one-push bracketing where the mirror stays up for sequence of bracketed shots? Setting the mirror up seems to only work for the first shot of the interval. Do I need a fancy wired interval timer?
Thanks,
Vytas
