Thank you so much for this DIY. I got a 16-50* from Adorama for $200. Rated as F but in E+ condition, due to no AF. I said what the heck and got it. My plan was to convert it to screwdrive. Decided to follow this DIY, now I am all smiles with a great working * lens. Thanks again to all.
PS: use tape and save yourself a lot of time with the pins.

There is a single pin mode on the R2 but the V6ii still reads it as a Nikon flash and it won't fire. So that's where the tape comes in.

I got my K3ii, cactus v6ii, Nikon R2 2.4ghz trigger and Flashpoint StreakLight 360 to work in power sync mode by taping off all pins but the center on the R2. Works great all the way to 1/8000 with no black bars. On the cactus v6ii camera set to Pentax, flash set to Nikon or manual both worked fine for me.
