Dear Pentax Contest:

I shoot with two older Pentax DSLR's. The K10d and the KS1. The K-70 for me would be important for shooting video which for practical purposes is not a suitable option for the KS1 or K10D.

Dear Pentax Forum members,

Has anyone heard of SUN lenses and/or know anything about the company known as GOTOH-SUN Co. LTD, JAPAN? This image is from an eBay sale but I have the exact lens:
[ (NRC) SUN 28-80mm f3.5-4.5 Macro SN203006 (Pentax Mount) ] SEE ATTACHED PHOTO.

Also, there is a designation on the lens "NRC" which I assume is some type of coating, but nothing comes-up in a search. Does anyone know what NRC stands for? SUN also made the same lens with a MC designation (Multi-Coated), so there is a distinction between the two models.

I voted for #5, but #7 & #8 were equally good. Some portraits were too tight, like #11, meaning there should be some background and space around the head (intense woman though). I thought #12 was excellent also (guy with guitar), but not 'portrait' enough for me (meaning more head-shot). Here's my criteria: I think you should be able to see into the person's soul in a portrait. 2) lighting 3) background or overall composition.

Special consideration is #3 (black woman) simple and powerful.

I like this portrait because the guy is expressing himself and it comes across. Also the lighting makes the similar background and foreground work creatively.
