Ohhhh no worries. Yah, I only use film cameras, I am thinking of going digital soon but film is way too fun at the moment so I have stuck with it. The film was Fuji Superia ISO 400.

Thanks! I have other photos too if you would like to check them out. I dont develop me own photos (yet) but I want to learn. I get my photos developed at the shop. ---------- Post added 12-13-16 at 01:44 AM ----------
From what I can recall those two photos were taken around 4:30ish pm and was really sunny, so my shutter speed would have been 1/1000 or 1/500, and I would have kept the aperture at 3.5. I was using Iso400 film too.

Thanks for the reply! Yup I think you are correct, I'm pretty sure I didn't change the Aperture or Shutter Speed, it was just a different focal point (is that what you call it?)

Just wanted to share a couple of photos I took with my Super-Takumar 135mm lens. I like how the photos turned out.

Hi guys,
Chucked FujiSuperia400 on my SP1000 and went around Wellington taking photos. These are some of the better ones. There are a few that failed.

Cool thank you very much for your reply!
I think the smallest aperture on the 28mm soligor is 22.
How do I ensure that I get enough light into the picture so that it does not come out too dark? do I set a longer shutter speed?
So the aperture I set can have an effect on how focused/ sharp the image will be?
Let says I put the focus on infinity and take two pictures, one at a low aperture and one at a higher aperture - both will have different sharpness/ focus? Regardless of shutter speeds?

Thank you very much for your reply.
I know that these were:
*ISO 200 Film
*Not Taken with a Tripod
*I think Shutter Speeds were 500 and 250? I'v never gone any slower than those.
In terms of Aperture - I tend to set it to the most open so I can focus in and then set it down to which I think will suit the shutter speed? I don't know if that's a correct way of doing these things or if that makes sense.

I replaced the batteries with some energizer battery which makes the light meter work - I heard that the reading may not be as accurate as the original merc batteries.

Cheers, I do not really know much about lenses or photography at this point - I only got into this around three months ago - I bought a whole bunch of Pentax SLRs from a thrift store and turned out that they worked and the lenses were good.

Hi all,
Currently I have a Soligor 1:2.8 28mm lens but it seems to be a hit and miss when I try to take landscape shots. I find it very hard to focus and most photos come out blurry.
Can anyone recommend a good wide angle lens for these older spotmatics?
Cheers

Hi Steve,
Thank you very much this is very helpful.
Is there a way of checking whether or not the first rule has been broken? Will I see evidence in photos taken? How would I know that the lens aperture mechanism has not been damaged permanently?

Hi all,
I am sort of confused on how to use Auto mode on the lenses. Would someone please be able to walk me through it?
Cheers
