I have used flickr Pro (paid) over the years and have pleased with it for basic photo sharing with friends/family.
I've also started using SmugMug, as it seems to be more polished and can be more customized.

I see there are also a few reburbished lenses available.
Anyone have prior experience with a Pentax refurbished purchase? What's the typical condition of the gear? Any issues with returns within the 90-day warranty period?

I use Darktable on Linux Mint 20 for most of my organizing and RAW editing work.
As others have noted, no package is perfect and each has its strengths.
I used to use digikam for initial triage, organizing, and tagging and LightZone for in-depth editing. Darktable seems to be a good compromise between the two.

I'll cast another vote for the Tamron 17-50/2.8. I bought it used a few years ago after reading the comparison review. It's the default lens on my K-3 II, as it's sharp and fast.
I also have the 18-135 that replaced an old 18-55 kit lens. It's a solid walk around lens, especially for travel, and the extra reach is nice.

What a nice color combination.
Is the contest open to anyone worldwide or just EU residents? I took a quick read through the terms and didn't see any restrictions.

Agreed on Borrowlenses. They started liquidating their Pentax gear some years ago. They had different membership levels for free shipping and other discounts, but appear to have suspended that program for the moment.
Lens Rentals has a similar membership program that might be worthwhile if you rent 2 or more times/year.

Agreed, the Fuji APS-C mirrorless system appears to be very nice. An XT-4 would be high on my list if I were starting from scratch. I like the old-school metal dials for specific functions and the retro styling. However, their image stabilization approach appears to be different than Pentax, as it's on some bodies and some lenses, much like the micro-4/3 bodies.

My camera gear is covered by a "valuable articles rider" on my homeowners insurance. I provided written details for each item and may have had to provide a copy of a sales receipt or other proof of value. The items are insured for their claimed initial value (original purchase price or perhaps appraisal) and the amount of coverage doesn't change each year - - it's not adjusted for inflation or depreciation.

Do you have an opportunity to handle and test drive either camera body, perhaps at a camera store or via a rental service? It might help you compare the size and weight differences between the two formats.
I rented a K-1 II with an HD 24-70 f2.8 a number of years ago to compare it to my K-3 II kit and decided at the time I wasn't comfortable with the increase in size and weight of the FF body and potential additional lenses.
I took a fresh look at the K-1 II last year and bought one with a 28-105 after realizing it was a great value for a FF system, particularly since I can use some of my existing Pentax APS-C and film-era glass.
The utility of the K-mount across so many camera models is probably an understated strength of the brand.
As others have said, you may eventually invest in both systems.
Please keep us posted on your decision.

First, my condolences for the loss of your camera equipment. Good luck with the insurance claim and addressing the other losses you incurred.
Once past the initial shock, I would view this as an opportunity and not a threat. Echoing other comments, I would factor in several things when considering a replacement system:
- What do you miss most about the hardware and glass you had? What did you like best? Perhaps more important, how did it help you get the pictures you wanted? What are you needs and do you think Pentax still meets them? For example, I greatly appreciate the ergonomics, weather sealing, image stabilization, controls, compact size, and all-around value of my K3ii and K5 when I come back to them after using another camera. Much of my photography is during travel, so these features are important to me.
- How important is the Pentax brand to you? I think they make great cameras and glass at a good value, but also think they are a contrarian brand. I've found this affects availability at local stores, as their stock will be limited and they'll often have to special order a Pentax item for me if choose to buy it in store.
- If another brand/body appeals to you, consider renting it for at least 10 days or longer so you can get at least a weekend or two of time with it. For example, I rented a K-1 last Summer and decided I wasn't quite ready for the upgrade. As an aside, I later learned Borrowlenses is gradually selling off their Pentax hardware, so rental equipment availability might be something to be mindful of as well.
If I suddenly lost all my Pentax gear, to include various M lenses from the 80s, I might consider quickly buying a used K3 or K3ii and a kit zoom as a temporary measure until I had more time to consider my options. In the long run, I would consider something like the Fujifilm XT-2 for it's small size, old-fashioned metal dials, weather sealing, and great IQ. I also think the XT20 would be a good option.
