Traveling from NYC to Edinburgh for new year's this year. Just bought a K-70 yesterday for this trip 😀. Post some pics and recommendations on what to see/shot around Edinburgh if you get a chance. Welcome to the forums.

Wanted to say thanks for everyone's help. I blew my budget pretty hard but I found a K-70 opened box at BH for $740 with the DA 18-135. I don't think it was a steal but I'm extremely excited. Thanks again. I'm sure I'll be on these forums alot trying to figure out my new toy!

Ok last question.... For now ;) if you could get a K5 and K50 for the same price which would you choose? A little concerned about the K5 not getting the latest update but it still seems solid.

Well I haven't really seen any deals so I'm looking more into used cameras. I wanted a k-50 or K-70 because of the WR factors. But it looks like the K-5, K-3 are WR as well. Maybe a dumb question but are all Pentax WR?

Both B&H and Adoroma have their deals posted for black Friday. Nothing will change from those sites tomorrow. Maybe wait till cyber Monday but I'm not holding my breathe. Pentax sales have been a let down IMO

I cant seem to find new ones anymore. And when i do come across them they are pretty much the same price as the K-S2. Could you direct me to where you are seeing 296+warranty? Thanks

I actually live in NYC so BH open box is a great suggestion. I know the 50 prime would be a nice lens to pair with the 28-105. Any recommendation on a good wide angle? I feel like those 3 lenses would be perfect for most situations and would last me a while. Thanks

Thanks for all the fast responses. This community is great. I found a used K50 for 235 and was going to pair it with Pentax D FA 28-105mm but just missed the amazon sale($369) its now back up to $500. So I started looking at my options.

I'm looking at getting my first DSLR camera. I was really interested in the ks2 or k70 but neither are currently in my price range. Was hoping for some holiday deals but my budget is 500-600 and cant seem to find any deals. I have found a few K50 bodies for around 250-275 and feel like i could invest in some good glass with my remaining budget. Is the k50 still a viable option or should I keep looking for a Ks2/k70 with a kit lens in my price range? Like I said I'm new to all of this but the water resistant feature of these models is what attracts me to Pentax. I travel alot and weather conditions as you all know are unpredicatble. Thanks in advance for your help.
