Got my item now. Was pretty smooth with no cause for complaint. Needing signature meant had to go to a local post office to collect but no problem. Just got to catch the deals when they on

I have noticed that there are good deals advertised on srs Microsystems but I'm a little concerned.
From the info on the website they sound quite good and reliable BUT
Several reviews say they aren't any good and they have in the last few days been selling several items at a good price, with the info available until 31st Dec 2016
They have now cancelled these deals, so essentially they lied.
I know they have a right to change things maybe but it puts me off using them
If they can change one thing then they can change others too, and they don't do what they say.
Anyone any experience or thoughts about them?

Hello there
So this weekend i have got the Pentax m42 lens to k mount adapter.
Can anyone recommend which lens to try and get hold of and if there are any i should avoid altogether.
I want a nice quality with good bokeh for landscape mainly but may try portrait or macro.
Also to use the old lenses i have to press the green button to meter and use manual mode.

Thanks and adapters is something i may go into in the future
But this post was more along the lines of say Panasonic lenses also using the k style mount and if they would work or if contacts in a different place
So buying a lens made for another camera but it still working
To clarify i saw a Pentax lens on eBay on a none Pentax body and wondered if they use the same mount

Thank you all for that
Gives me a good start.
Was also interested in other lenses that just happen to fit but may not have been made specifically for Pentax cameras

Just a quick query
I know that both tamron and sigma have made lenses with a pentax k mount but.....
do other camera makers also use the k mount so that in theory i could buy their lens and it would work, or would there be an issue with the contacts etc?
ie buy a panasonic lens or sony etc

Trouble is still working out what I'm doing :) ---------- Post added 02-12-16 at 03:42 AM ---------- Thanks everyone for your input. Not even got involved with flash yet so that still a bit confusing.
My understanding is i can use a Pentax A lens just the same as my da 18-135 with no problems in av mode.
That's great. Hoping to get out this weekend.

Hi there,
I have several older lenses and just wanted to check, i think to make the camera meter correctly in aperture priority mode using the old lenses you would press the green button
is this correct?
and do i have to do this before every single picture / do i have to hoold down the green button whilst trying to press the shutter at the same time?
the lenses are auto aperture but manual focus (Pentax A) style lenses.
thanks

There was a video, maybe on YouTube shows the new 55 300 is quieter and faster than the older hd version and now works on k3 and k50 with firmware update
