These two are in Sintra. A beautiful city in Portugal. The second image is from a Moorish Castle and the first is a hillside view from where I was staying. |

The list of lenses that K1 supports Lens Correction in-body are :
FA* 24mm,
FA 28mm,
FA 31mm Limited,
FA 35mm,
FA 43mm Limited,
FA 50mm F1.4,
FA 77mm Limited,
FA* 85mm,
FA* 200mm,
FA* 200mm Macro,
FA* 300mm F2.8,
FA* 300mm F4.5,
FA* 400mm F5.6,
FA* 600mm,
FA* 28-70mm,
FA* 80-200mm,
FA* 250-600mm
Now is there a way Pentax will implement other FA Lenses in a futur firmware update?
Here are the lens that comes to mind about Lens Correction that would greatly benefit from it :
FA 20-35mm
FA 28-70mm F4.0 AL
FA 80-320mm
FA 20mm
FA 28-105mm powerzoom
FA 50 F1.7
FA 50 macro
FA 100 F2.8 macro
Of course I am a little sad that F lenses don't support lens correction in K1.
But as F lenses have lens ID in EXIF informations, I guess we can make Lightroom Lens Profile for them, and apply automatically those profiles to either RAWs of JPGs.
We just need to make those profile!
There is a Lightroom Lens Profile creator, and downloader for free. I will make some profile for my lenses and share them when I have the time!
F Lenses that I would love to have Lens correction profile in Lightroom are :
F 17-28 fisheye
F 35-80
F 80-200
F 100-300
F 50 F1.4
F 28
F 100 macro
F 135
etc.
There are some Lightroom pentax crop sensor lenses profile downloadable right now from the Lightroom downloader but none specifically for the K1.
I did search the forum for such a thread but I haven't found. Hope we can build a library of Lens profile for our Legacy Pentax Lenses on the K1!
And for Pentax A Lenses, that is recognized as A Lenses, but without focal length (appart from what you enter in the Shake Reduction setting), you can apply manually in batch those Lightroom profiles.
K and M Lenses cannot be tell appart but those profiles can still be applied manually in batch.
Still those K, M and A profile would still be awesome to make avail.

It takes a little time to realize that this photo is all bokeh. One reviewer noted that the Formula 5 135mm 1.8 incorporates every known lens aberration - but that was a positive. In any case, wide open, glowy, somehow we missed the chroma on this one. IMGP6397-Edit.jpg by David Miley, on Flickr

Thanks for your kind words, tregubovav. Often a new lens with a new set of oddities stimulates the creative process.

K10D with Tamron Adaptall-2 13A SP f/3.5-3.8 24-48mm -- shot wide open
Zinnia bud and blossoms. The 13A isn't really a close-focusing lens or a bokeh lens, but it tries to make do when called upon.
Confluence of power lines. There's not much very out-of-focus, even wide open, when the 13A shoots more distant subjects zoomed part-way toward its wide-angle end for framing.
Pokeweed berries ripening. Back some from its closest focus distance, the 13A can get quite a bit in focus wide open. Not a problem if you're not trying hard to separate the main subject from nearby background.

I was able to take this lens into the backyard this afternoon and enjoy using it with the PKA adapter. The lens and the K-5 behave very nicely together.

while my girlfriend competed in ironman i was out with the camera for a while. took these during the bike portion of the event (the most interesting from a photo taking standpoint i think). unfortunately i didn't get a shot of my girlfriend as a car obscured her on her way by. very disappointing. so here are a few people i don't know.
camera settings were very simple. SR off, shutter priority at 1/50, iso 100 bike_06 by William Glancy, on Flickr bike_05 by William Glancy, on Flickr bike_04 by William Glancy, on Flickr bike_03 by William Glancy, on Flickr bike_02 by William Glancy, on Flickr bike_01 by William Glancy, on Flickr
