Pentax k70 - debug mode

Hi. im happy owner of k70. Anyway lately i bought some older, rare lense - Sigma 24-135 f2.8-f4.5 ( its preety nice ).The problem is that i had to set AF corection in menu at "-10" ( max ) and i there is still a small backfocusing.
I heard that you can change global camera af settinngs via debug mode. How to do it on k70?

I have ( and had ) few sigma lenses and all of them i need to set via body between "-5"to "-10" but this time i need to go further. there is no such probem with pentax or tamron lenses.

ps. there is no possibility to set it in lense. service said the lense is to old

TIA

It deppends. One picture will be ok at iso 12 800 and other time will be to noisy. If i use auto iso i set it to 100-6400 outdoor. Anyway most indoors shoot looking good even at iso 12800. I also have few outdoors photos in 12800 im happy with.

Hi. I want to buy a manual pentax 1.7 50mm. Everyone say it's 'must have', it isn't expensive so... why not? Anyway i noticed there are at least 3 version of the same lense...

Smc Pentax-m Asahi

Smc Pentax-m Asahi opt. Co.

...and no Asahi mentioned - just smc pentax-m

Is there any differenes in optics quality in those? If yes which is best one?

Hi. I have a Pentax 55-300 f/5.6-6.3 PLM lense. I like to shoot birds and i feel like I need some more focal lenghts. There are three options but only two for me - buy a new lense ( i don't want to because of their size! ) , use rear or front teleconverter. Today i checked rear Pentax 1.4 with my lense and AF working well ( with f/9,5 ) . Only problem is pirce - it's preety damn expensive in here.

In the other hand we have Nikon TC-DC58C - front teleconverter. I couldn't test it. Internet reviews are preety good but almost all of the users use them with compacts cameras. There also other TC like or DCR-2025 PRO or Sony 1.7x VCL-DH1758

The Nikon is the cheapest one.

Any opinions?

Hi. As I understand from the manual I can change tilt measurement in viewfinder to a exposure bar. I don't quite understand how. If I click fx2 the bar is off. Can anyone tell me precisely how to make such change?

Universal Pentax zoom tele lense...which one? 18-270 vs 55-300

That was my first thought. But i read that quality of that lense isn't best. Too bad there is no tamron version ( better than sigmas ) that fit pentax.

Thx for all answers. I haven't even consider new 55-300 because it's darker than old one but now i know it's best option - the af is amazing and also sharpness and image quality seems to be nice . I found 16-45 f/4 in good condicion so i'll buy that one too.

Yeah. I already conisider to buy a used Pentax 16-45 f/4 - lense. it's not cheap but also not very expensive. Im not gonna use it to much but in case I'll need wider lense ( landscapes, citysights ) i can easyly change it.

So new 55-300 is best option ? It's same dark as a 18-270 so that's why i didn't look for it. The AF damn fast. Does also the sharpness of the image is best from those above?

Wow. Thanks for responses. In next week im going to buy a a k-70 + lens. Earlier i had a compact panasonic fz300 ( 24-600mm ) and almost always I've took a zoomed photos. So it's seems like i don't quite need a wide angle. I especially love to shooting birds& animals.

Pentax smc PENTAX DA 55-300mm F4-5.8 ED vs Pentax smc DA 18-270mm f/4-5.8...

I need telezoom lense at least 250mm wide. The 18-270 have faster af and lower min. light but higher max liht. It's also more expensive than 55-300. In the other hand 55-300 is sharper, cheaper but min. Light is higher . Also i read that af is slower... any ideas? Other ideas?
