This is Skagsanden Beach, Lofoten in northern Norway. As I worked on this photograph, I felt it was better in B&W which added to the effects of the ND filter used for the ethereal feel I was after. I may play with this one more to find a better balance of the misty look and brightness. The photograph was taken with a Pentax K1 DSLR with a Pentax HD DFA 15-30mm ED SDM AW Lens at F16, 80s, 0EV, ISO 100, 30mm and Lee 6-Stop ND Filter.

I'm kind of sad to see that tree die. It's been fading for the last five years or so and I think it is finally time to call it. It's probably a hundred or more years old. These junipers grow very slowly and it's a harsh existence here.
It looked better in 2013 but even here the lower branches look like they are dead.
