The other nite I was going to take a picture of the moon,I put on my vivitar 120 - 600 zoom,f stop 5.6-32 and a 2x converter,all full manual,went out set up turned on,and the f stop warning was flashing,f-stop 1600,took the 2x converter off and all was fine.Tried to look it up in the book and I could not fine anything.Let me guess does it have to do with manual lens on a k 30.It is set u to the way Adams article says to.And should I not pay much attention too.Thank You,Gary

I don't want to sound like a broken record,but I hav a lot to learn about a digital camera,all your kind help and comments are all taken in.It sure is different looking at the picture you just took and can make adjustments,rather waite for them to be developed,and nothing you can do.this is fun

my lenes are all full manual lens.now that I know =,I feel better,and can make adjustments.Thanks again for bailing me out,Gary

will I get a f stop reading with a manual lens?I get nothingI have the camera set up for manual,just like the way the article said .I know I am probably doing something wrong.Will someone help the old man out again.all I have is manual lenes.thank you

yes,that is a very good article for someone like me,I am getting use it this camera slow but sure,thanks to all info,you people make the switchover from film to digital a lot more easy. Thanks again.I will send pics soon.

I am using Vivtar lens from my old film cam.And yes Adam there are some scene modes I can not use,and of course they are the ones I like.I am playing around with the different settings.Thanks,Gary

I was told when you use manual lens on my k30 that some of the scene modes and some programs will not adjust or come up on the screen.Is this true?

Hi,Happy New Year to everyone,I think I an doing something wrong.When I have my K30 in scn. mode I can not get the different shooting modes to come up on the screen, like it shows in the manual on page 82. Buy the way this is my first digital camera,I am used to a old film camera,a Chinion cp7m with noy so many modes.In advavce thank you for any and all help.

I found the screws,removed the ring and cleaned it up with my drummel.I amglad that someone has done this.I also saw the pictures.A Big THANK YOU.Happy New Year.

I have a K 30 and all my lenes are manual and fit and work fine,but one it is my Vivital 120-600 zoom also 5.6 to 32 rapture..It is a k mount but it also has a piece on the ring that sticks out futher than the rest almoust quarter way around.That is what is stopping that lens fron mounting on the body.My question is there a adaptor for this or a different ring?Please help this is my favorite lens to use.Thank you
