See, I was following you right up until you started talking bounce lock releae and -10.
good news, though. I found a camera store in a large city near where I live that said they would help me with it. I love the wireless capability, I just have noooo clue as to what is what. If I could get one thing down, the rest will probably fall into place. I'm just a slow starter. Love the flash, though.
thanks everybody - now I'm off to find a new lens to purchase. Decisions, decisions...

Really, I am. But I am going bananas. I am not a tech person at all. I'm the type that needs instructions like I'm in first grade, so please talk to me s.l.o.w.l.y...
I have the K10D. Just got the 540 cadillac flash for Christmas.
Here is my question: I want to fire the flash off camera. What in the heck do I do?? I really like the "flashy" look that's been showing up lately and I'm hoping I can accomplish this with the gear I already have. I just need to figure out how to do it in a very elementary way.
Can somebody help me, please??
