Voted for #5.
Btw, No. 3, the eagle looks like a fake to me.

Just forget about it - I was hoping some firmware update or hidden setting or such for the blinking, but there is none.
After hard googling I should have found the solution (and I am not the only one who is bothered by it).
My K-5 works very well, it's like new and bought straight from the first owner.
I haven't been using my 28mm lenses because I don't like the focal length on full frame.
Yesterday I anyhow fixed a worn Kiron 28mm 2.8 and by a quick test I found it very nice on Pentax.
I'm happy to have my old 28mm's to use :)
Look at the bokeh Kiron does:
Overall I'm very happy with the image quality of K-5, especially colours look very good!

Yeah, it is supposed to be a pro- or advanced photographer's camera but it's acting like a first timer's guiding camera:
"WARNING, BLINKING, YOUR SHUTTER SPEED IS BELOW 1/30, USE FLASH, WARNING, BLINKING..."
Okay, I'll get used to it. I'll have to because I love about everything else in this camera. Sorry to bother you guys ;)

No, but that's pretty annoying too :) I've already turned off the over/under exposed area blinking.
I mean all the flash/ISO/exp.time/aperture indicators are flickering on every three display.

I'm pretty much in control for my new K-5 already and I'm beginning to like the menus, features and solution they've made with this camera...
Except for the blinking which I find Very Annoying. For example indoors all three displays are blinking like crazy even when shooting in manual mode.
I've already shut off the rear display and turned off the back light from the top display for the blinking wouldn't be so offensive.
I've seeked a solution to get rid of it completely, but seems like there are no solutions but to live with it?
Is it the same thing with newer Pentaxes too?

First shots taken and it's a lovely camera, yet very different to my old, straightforward Canon 5D.

A K-5 purchased! It looks new and feels good! Now I just have to learn it, which is fun of course.
I thank thee once again for your kind help!

Thank you very much for your kind advice and links. The K-5 looks good and I'll keep it as my first choise, but will check also other suggested models. My only concern is now the availability in my home country, but there's always international possibility as well... and I'm not in a hurry. I thougt I'd spent max 300€, we'll see if that's enough. Thanks.

I have several old Pentax/Pentax K -cameras and lenses. I use film rarely, so I thought it would be nice to use the lenses also on digital, but that would need some demolition because my digital camera is a Canon 5D, and I won't do that. So, I'd appreciate a guidance for buying an used, not too expensive Pentax dslr just for fun to shoot them also in digital. The questions in my mind are:
- Does all the Pentax dslr's take all the old Pentax K -lenses?
- What cheap body would you recommend?
- The image stabilization wouldn't do any harm, would it? (I do not know which bodies include it).
- Will automatic aperture control work also with mecanical old Pentax K lenses?

I shaved (filed) the ledge away from my Mir-1b... and the mirror still hits the back of the lens in Canon 5D.
So, if I use it, I have to put something in between the lens and the adapter, which causes the lens not to focus infinity.

Hi,
I'm interested in old lenses (&cameras) and have been using this forums lens reviews for long.
Finally I thought I maybe I should join because I find myself here so often, and maybe to add some reviews myself too.
So, greetings from Finland!
PS. My treasure is Pentax Spotmatic SPII
