There aren't any problems with producing and disposing of hybrid batteries that aren't already problems with producing and disposing of automobiles.

She's not drag racing per say, but she's always fast off the line and does a lot of 0-60-0 between stop lights on city streets. Highway is better at 20+mpg, but it's still not great cruising at 75-90+mph. Her car was rated at 21/28 too, so 40 highway was a stretch even driving 55 on the highway.

Still, > 45mpg is better than < 15mpg in her Audi A3.

They might have dropped the trailer in Syracuse to unload overnight deliveries and sent it to Rochester to ferry whatever back to Syracuse. It doesn't matter if something goes back and forth between two distribution centers twice, provided it's delivered in time, which would I imagine favor collecting/distributing overnight deliveries. Or it could have something to do with driver/dock worker availability. Or someone just messed up. I don't think bouncing between distribution centers implies any particular situation though.

I've saw that from time to time when I worked in LTL (less than load) shipping for a private trucking company. My guess is it's because of package priority/speed, which is probably what the first stop in Syracuse was for, and maybe driver/truck/docker worker availability. Or it could just be someone messing up. Shipping's a big old ball of optimization with fallable people throw in for good measure.

I've literally driven hundreds of thousands of miles on tires inflated to the manufacturer's maximum rated pressure. None of them blew up. A smidge above whatever the tire is rated for has been fine for me. The Bridgestone's on my Prius are I belive rated for 44psi cold. Bringing the pressure up to 45-50psi warm might be a couple psi above the tire's rated pressure of 44 psi when cold, but it'll drift back down within a week or so. I've never had wear problems associated with pressure, just from way out of spec alignment on my older cars, but YMMV and all that. I'm usually OK with the harsher ride, but if it's too much I'll drop the pressure
In terms of braking distance, overinflation does increase it, going from 35 to 44 psi increases it by about 6%.

You know what else increases braking distance by about 6%? Going from 60mph to 62mph. Kinetic energy for the win! :D
At the same time, it also improves handling.

Sufficed to say, I'm much more comfortable going 60+mph in the right lane on my tires around their max rated inflation pressure than I am going 75+mph in another lane with my tires at lower pressures. Lower pressures do improve stopping distances, but they hurt handling, and the range of speeds most people drive at increase their stopping distances far more than running their tires at the maximum pressure would

I've run my tires at 45 to 50 psi since 2003 or so. :D
But the penny pinching is annoying. If Toyota had spent an extra 2c on an extra 100nF capacitor, people wouldn't have to deal with the display not powering on.

The LRR tires are fine, but the car's suspension was soft when it was new, and after 200k miles it's even softer. I've read that larger front/rear sway bars and the rear springs from the Prius Touring can help a lot with that, plus new inserts.

I'm currently driving a 2007 Prius as my daily.
I like the size, purchase price, fuel economy, overall reliability, availibility/cost of parts, and the general utilitarian design it has.
I'm not a fan of the car's condition (That's what I get with a $1,500 car), how it handles, and some of the cost cutting/penny pinching Toyota did, although most manufacturers are guilty of that.

Thanks for the reply! This is very interesting. Does the requirement for new consideration imply that any changes FB had made to their TOS are invalid if there was no new consideration for their users? Also, is there a particular reason the acquiescence needs to be explicit? Most TOS updates I see have something along the lines of "if you continue to use our service you agree to these new terms". Couldn't the user do the same thing ("if you continue to provide me service" ...)?

Could someone modify FB's TOS to not waive their CMI rights, provide notice of this change to FB, and assuming FB let them continue to use service after some reasonable amount of time, have cause if/when FB stripped out the EXIF data from copywritten images?

I'm pretty new to photography. I started out with a refurbished Nikon kit (D3200 + 18-55), but the AF-S/VR lenses are on the expensive side. When I saw a post about the K-50 kit at microcenter for $360, I decided to pull the trigger on an open box kit after reading about the wide variety of relatively inexpensive lens available.
So far I've been very impressed by the K-50. The weather resistance is nice, although I haven't used it much, and it shoots far faster than my D3200. The variety and cost of lens is where it really shines in my opinion. For half the price of a AF-S VR 55-300mm Nikon lens, I can get 3-4 decent AF pentax lenses, and have $100 left over for some interesting MF prime and zoom lenses.
Being a beginner, I can't really speak to image quality of any of my lenses, but the K-50 has been pretty fun to play around with.
