I finally took the battery out and left it for a week, then did a reset in the menu and finally the reset actually worked and the K3 will read to the card once again. No idea what was actually wrong with the K3, but at least now it writes to the card once again and the "no card in camera" notice is gone.

I worked perfectly until about a week ago, then the problem showed up, having a card in each slot doesn't help. I can format the card in the slot, but can't access the images from the camera or save images to the card.

When I switch slots the new slot then shows the card, if I put in two card they both show up as they should. The card was formatted in the K3 and worked perfectly until just recently when this issue showed up.I just formatted the card in the camera and still have the same problem.

When I turn on my K3 it shows both slots, with a card in one slot and how many images are still available on that card. When I then take a photo, the image shows up, but with "No Card In Camera" over the top of it and it does not write to the card. I have tried multiple cards, all of which work in my K5 just fine, but will not write on my K3. Any ideas?

That is why I have a Nikon system, for the AF that actually focuses on moving birds instead of hunting before it trips the shutter. I realize I am the only Pentax user with this issue, but it is a real life irritation for me and to be honest, the only real complaint I have with Pentax!

Nikon FX cameras crop the sensor to fit the DX lens circle, although some vignetting does show up with wide angle DX lenses.

I went with Nikon a while ago for some wedding work, kept my Pentax gear for other things, but have not upgraded either Nikon or Pentax for quite a while.
The Pentax FF will be the deciding factor as to which way I will go, but no more money invested in Pentax until it at least comes up to the quality of my older Nikon FF!

"A little bit of misrepresentation on this one. Almost all m4/3 cameras without built-in flash come with a very small clip on flash that is powered by the camera, not batteries. You could probably attach those things to your camera strap if you really wanted to."

Kodachrome started out as ASA 10, but then was bumped up to ASA 25 because 10 was too slow. Digital may have reached the detail of film but still lags behind film in DR.

I have a WG-1 and a W30, the WG-1 is far more rugged, but the W30 takes far sharper photos for some reason at the same ISO. Interesting that the 7.1Mp camera seems to take better photos than the 14Mp camera, but that is why I rarely take the WG-1 with me in hostile weather.

The photo's of the Crow's (the first one look's like a Raven to me) are very nice, to my eye not soft at all.
Looks like a great combo!

Exactly, and by the way the D3X is a 24.5 megapixel camera, not a 12 megapixel like a D3.
The post had good points and the nasty response from normhead was rude at best considering the justinr was simply explaining why he switched to FF.
