Patrick Demarchelier, Peter Lindberg, Steven Meisel, Helmut Newton and Arthur Elgort all used the 67 Pentax as I did.
In fact most of the guys in Fashion Advertising used the 67 or the Mamiya 67.
There are tons. Unfortunately Pentax lost most to the Digital back crowd on Blad's and the DSLR's of Canon.

I am NOT sponsored by Fujifilm. I own 4 x Fujifilm X-T3's, which I use often, 2 x GFX50s's, which I use for the appropriate shoots an X-T20 and X-H1 for many of our videos. I also own 4 x Nikon D800/810's. Totally job dependent. I am shooting a major catalogue this week and will use my X-T3's. :-)

Will keep it short and Sweet. Now that Pentax has the K1, there is no reason that the professionals out there won't come onboard...
However, that will NOT happen until Ricoh-Pentax build their professional service network that can compete with that of Nikon and Canon.
That and the problematic AF issues, was the major reason I had to let go of Pentax as my Professional Photo Capture tool. However, I still use the K3 for most of our videos.

That's because you are shooting relatively close up to a small subject. It becomes a lot more apparent when shooting full shots of people. I own a 2.8 300mm lens and the bokeh differences are quite evident.

Do you know what I think Kenspo? Ever since the hay days of the Pentax 67 and their subsequent decline, they have had this self loathing non worthy self esteem issue, thus their incapacity to see when they are looking at a gift horse in the mouth...But hey, that is one of the reasons we parted our ways as well. It's not that they don't want to succeed, they just lost their way and never really knew how to find their way back. Not that I didn't try of course. Hell, I even put together a whole Marketing Plan for them that may have laid down the groundwork for a totally different public perception of their product. So Kenspo, I suggest you get on with your life and career and just take care of what really matters, the image, the gig and the notoriety associated with success. What it comes down to really is, does the instrument work the way it should and does it give you the tools to make it happen.
Have a nice weekend...

That is the look the Director wanted. She loves that RAW look and adds tons of grain often.
Here is the link to all of our videos shot with the Kx, K-01, K5 and K3's.

We still use the Pentax K3 for almost all of our videos , thus still have the DA* 55mm f/1.4, DA* 50-135 and DA*200mm f/2.8 as well as a Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 lens.

Pentax sent me a K3 and 3 lenses last year. The 55, 50-135 and 200mm. I bought a Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 for it as well. So yes I own the K3. We use it for all of our videos. Video Director and Videographer is Frederique Renaut.:

There are ways to improve the rendition of the K10D that will give it similar resolution to a Pro Back of 31.6 megpaixels. I will be shortly doing an Ad Campaign with the K10D where I could have opted for a Digital Back. I will shoot in RAW and introduce three layers with a microscopic shift on each of the layers. After doing so I will sharpen the layers at between 0.3 and 0.5 pixels at 240 to 300 percent. It works very well. What I do is use two colour layers and one B&W layer. I still use the "Soft Light" setting. I am effectively getting the impression of a 30.6 megapixel image. The pixels are all slightly offset. It really does work quite well.
Thought I would share that with you. Theoretically it is not 31.6 mega pixels, but it sure looks like it.

I have the 40 Limited and used it exclusively for my "Diva" photo shoot in Style Monte Carlo magazine. Looks very similar to the Cosina.

Simply put, Pentax had some technical issues that were not solved and was having an adverse effect on my final imagery. I understand that the K3 seems to have their Focus Issues under control.
Nonetheless, my D800 hasn't once missed a shot. I am sure that the K3 with good lenses could be a good solution for photographers wanting a lighter, more compact solution to the FF cameras out there.
I still love the ergonomics of the Pentax K3 (K5 etc). :)

Hi All,
If interested, I want to share my first fashion editorial using my new Nikon D800 for the November Issue of Harper's BAZAAR. For most of the 10 page editorial I used the Nikkor 85mm f1.8G lens as well as the Nikkor 50mm f1.8G for another one.
In all cases, all of the images were shot wide open at f1.8.
Video shot with the Pentax K-01 and the Pentax 18-250 lens.
Thanks
Ben
