Not so easy... there's no real subject aside from the far hills, the foreground ist empty, the light is not very exciting... so I decided to add some drama
Changed sky with PS, several layers for D&B, local contrast, color grading.

Well, that's my interpretation of the scene. I imagined a warm, candlelight look, although the light source seems to be electric. Some dodging and burning and many color adjusting layers.

Well, I went for b/w because of the heavy contrast and the not-so-interesting overall colors. For the sun, I took a similar approach as chd: first remove the hand with content-aware fill, replace sky and then fill the corner with a flare overlay. This is essential, you cannot simply remove the sun because it is needed as an explanation for the shadows in the lower left. Edited with Photoshop CC 2022 and Nik HDR Efex Pro 2.

Ok, folks, here are the results... the things to deal with were the stark contrast, some blown out highlights (even in DNG) and several distracting elements like the lamp post and tree to the right, the parking cars to the left and the overhead wiring. In my opinion, the original image is also missing some "industrial mood".
Many of you targeted one or more of these tasks - there's something special in every image, but to me, tuggie76's version is the most "complete", it looks very vivid and he's done a good job on the highlights as well as preserving and opening the shadows. So I declare him the winner of challenge #429.
Honorable mention goes to jmacias whose image is similar to tuggie76's interpretation, although somewhat lighter, and to his bw image.
Last but not least here's my own work.

Welcome to this week's Post Processing Challenge #429, thanks to tuggie76 for hosting last week's challenge and to Kerrowdown declaring me the winner :)
The photo I would like you to work on shows Germany's most famous filling station, located in Duisburg, just in front of two of the most modern blast furnaces run by ThyssenKrupp.
The Challenge will start right now and will end end on Tuesday, 23rd August 2022, 20:00 CEST (UTC+2).
Unfortunately, I cannot login to tuggie76's Mediafire account, so the files are provided via my Dropbox folder: DNG image here JPG Image here
I strongly recommed working with the DNG file.
The next host may try his or her luck with the following hosting site:

I'm looking forward to your results!

Edit based on DNG file, tools used: Adobe Camera Raw, Photoshop CC 2022, Nik Collection. Tried to compliment the colors of the heather to sea and sky. Not sure about cropping, I don't like the fence, but cropping above it takes away too much from the foreground and loses depth - so I left it as it is.

First attempt with new "astro tracer mode 3", as the sky was clear for the very first since the update was released. Pentax K-3 III, Sigma 120-400 @ 400mm, f/8, 60sec, ISO 1600. Median stack of six of those images to remove noise, edited in PS. Full frame, only cropped to 4:5 ratio. Ah yes - it's the Orion nebula, M42!

Yes indeed - had the same problem with my Samsung S20+. Works like a charm after disabling the battery "optimisation" - thank you very much!
