The Lake District's autumn colours can be so wonderful. Rain preceded and followed a memorable morning on the shores of Grassmere. A brief respite between the showers with some subtle light was all I needed to make my heart swell with joy.

This shot harks back to the 1990s. My wife and I made a pilgrimage to Ansel Adams country and were blessed with one great morning of light and clouds peeling off the granite. Shot on Ilford HP5 film

Yes, for the reasons you describe, Astrotracer works better at 24mm and above. I only discovered that after buying the 15-30 D-FA  Still, you live and learn!
I did some test shots on my newly acquired 77mm FA and the limiting factor is light pollution where I am. Get some dark skies and you'll be in business with your 135mm.
There's a great online field of view calculator that will illustrate how targets will look with most lens-camera combinations - have a look at FOV Calculator - 12DString :)

It all seems so simple when you watch a tutorial in the comfort and warmth of your home. In the great outdoors, when you are tired, cold and reliant on a red head torch it's so very different!
I must use Astrotracer more, but also intend to get a star tracker too.
This is the only Astrotracer shot I really like, it was at 120 seconds and in a rush of blood I did a vertical pano, 4 or 5 images I think. I wish I'd remembered to do an shot to focus stack the foreground (which is a bit of a giveaway that this is the Astrotracer!)
Thanks for your advice guys, much appreciated :)

Thanks! I think I have them from an exposure time search. Rather underwhelming after that effort. :D

It's a quick one!
Can I easily locate images that I shot with Astrotracer over the years in my Lightroom Library?

As befits the 100th Anniversary and an open competition, I thought I'd go for an image that still gives me great pleasure 25 years on from its making. The photograph was taken on Ilford HP5 film on a 3-day visit to Yosemite in late September 1994. I've printed (and sold) this at A2 which is testimony to the marvellous ME Super. I still have one and enjoy dipping back into film on occasion.

A 20 second exposure was used to capture the Milky Way (and Mars to the left of frame) over the sunflower field at Rhosilli, South Wales

Bravo, very clever
Every camera system has issues, I'm not sure Pentax is worse or better than others, but it's certainly the road less travelled :D
Sorry to hear about your issues

I took many images of the model, Kat. This one captures her movement in the colourful dress. I have a signed model release from her :D

The light was flat on this Saturday afternoon. I watched this skater, impressing his gal. Then after a while he took off his shirt, the sun came through the clouds and some rather nice light picked up his toned body and cast a nice shadow. It is a composite with some street art (also shot that afternoon on the K-1 with a 24-70 D-FA) providing a more fitting backdrop
