Yes, it's spring time already. Here comes the proof. :)
I made mistake by leaving ISO setting @1600. It's aging problem again, I know.

What started out from disgust at the crap being shown on TV one evening ("reality" TV....mindless rubbish) and going for a drive in the hope that nature may do something worth watching......resulted in this. It lasted for the best part of an hour, actually started from very little...but then just kept coming. Awesome show that had me spell bound. Attachment 348756 |

Late afternoon violent storm front hits the north coast of Australia. I set up just before the rain to capture the green low light hitting the ocean waves framed by the angry black storm front...few quick shots and a run for shelter..

A few shots from this weekend's concerts. The first band was an incredibly entertaining Norwegian folk rock band with one of the most impressive instrument lineups i've ever seen, and the second was sŕpmi rap artist. Lots of fun! The medieval towers of the ruined church of St Mary at Reculver, they were added in the late 12th century to a church founded in 669, when King Ecgberht of Kent granted land to Bassa the priest for the foundation of a monastery. Reculver towers and shoreline by jon bawden, on Flickr

It has been a while since I posted some photo's over here. Work has been more time consuming. But I have been given more opportunities to shoot the most beautiful places in my province. But that's video and personally I prefer shooting stills. So I have a small photographic journey for you along the coast of the province of Fryslân/Friesland in the Netherlands.
1. Wierum 1
2. Ternaard, it Skoar
3. Wierum 2
4. Wierum 3
5. Wierum 4
6. Sucking up gas (Wierum 5)
7. Noordsvaarder, the island of Terschelling. Part of a time lapse sequence.
8. Posthuiswad, the island of Vlieland. Part of a time lapse sequence.

.....the Royal Gorge Route Railroad. Climb aboard Colorado's most scenic train for a journey through the spectacular Royal Gorge. Since 1879, these tracks have followed the winding, tumbling Arkansas River deep within the soaring, 1,000-foot granite cliffs. You might want to take the trip during the summer months though when it's not snowing, just sayin'.

What happens when Celestial Force hits The Immovable Object? Ring of Fire obviously!
Fisheye lens used to create massive spiral composition. I burned about 300 grams of steel wool *at once* to create the massive fire spiral on the edge of those cliffs. My jacked caught fire but just a little bit to notice it in time.
