Another image. Slightly different look, exposure due to the reflector being a bit further away and crop. Enlarged, the focus is razor sharp on his eyes. Still have the dark triangle and I have lightened it some, but to go further get strange results. Improved?

Shooting a theatre production of Grease
One Yongnuo 560 flash at 1/2 power camera right at about 2 o'clock from camera position, shoot through umbrella. Silver reflector left at 8 o'clock just outside frame. Taken in the theatre with about 5 minutes set up time!
Critique welcome.

I don't own a K-5 (yet!) but have been looking at it. I was temped by the K-7 but thought it too small. I am a K10/20 user (without grip). However, I recently gave a K-5 a test - it felt too small for me until I had the store put on the grip. It made the camera magic for me! It gave it a feel that while different than the K10/20, just made it feel perfect. Now I have to save up for the grip as well as the camera! I would highly recommend the grip.

I just upgraded from the K10 to K20, but only because my well loved K10 died (at 27,000 shots - pissed me off as I think it should have lasted longer. $350 to repair with no guarantees that that would be the complete fix -they might find something else). I use the K20 for work (real estate) and it has made my shooting easier. Can use ISO800 all the time with results that are equivalent to ISO400 on the K10. I've only done a bit of shooting for me at what I prefer - landscapes in the Rockies - but so far the low ISO results are fine. I was surprised at the level of difference between the 10 and 20 - especially the larger sensor. Handled a K-5 today and it is small. Might work with the battery grip, but I know the OP doesn't have the budget for this so 'nuff said. I don't think the OP can go wrong with the K20.
One question - it was said here that the K20 has tethering. I can't find any reference to it in the manual. Perhaps this is a reference to Pentax Remote Assistant, which worked on the K10? If I'm wrong, I would like to know how tethering works on the K20.

I have Nikon lenses in my reading glasses. I didn't request them or even know until the boiling kettle steamed up the glasses and my son noticed the logo on the lenses. It is invisible in normal use, but steam shows it. Must be a subliminal plant. But it doesn't work as I switched from a Nikon film camera to a K10D last year, even using the Nikon imprinted lenses to do the research!
