A walk along Brixham breakwater on the first day this year that felt like Spring. It doesn't really tilt like that -- it's crazy perspective distortion from the Sigma 10-20mm on the K100D. For me, the psychedelic perspective effects that you can get are the whole point of an ultrawide lens.:) Brixham Breakwater by David Holland, on Flickr

It really is.
When I later checked MPB Europe I found that they had multiple copies, some with the tripod foot, for not too much more, and in apparently excellent condition. It'll get it's first challenge this afternoon when I take it to a little theatre event my elder daughter is in. Despite being a stop slower I'm hopeful that the longer focal lengths will get me better results than the Sigma 90/2.8.

I think anyone interested will probably see it over on the DPR forum, but I got another copy of the 50mm f/1.8 back from Panasonic today and this one's a good one, nice and sharp wide open.
So that concludes my three month experience with the blue "fogging" problem from which all my Lumix lenses suffered - all have now been replaced with new, good copies, including the 16-35mm which I bought used. It took a while but I'm happy with the outcome and the way I have been treated by Panasonic. This is the way Pentax should have treated people who experienced SDM failure in their lenses: fix or replacement regardless of guarantee as it's a manufacturing or design fault.

Playing around with the Optio W30. Such a fun camera. . . if only it had a viewfinder.

Don't worry, it's just a lost jacket that somebody left on the fencepost in case the owner came back looking for it.

Pretty positive stuff from Panasonic about the L-mount... Quote: CameraBeta has been invited for a talk with Panasonic managers and this is the info they gathered: - At present, Panasonic focuses on the mid-range full-frame camera market, but in the next few years, it will supplement entry-level and high-end models
- Video will continue to focus on 4K, 6K oversampling, 6K and open gate.
- 8K is not sufficiently popular in the consumer market.
- A telephoto lens will be available soon. I think it’s a surprising size, so please look forward to it.
- It has suffered a lot in the last three years, but is still very good.
- LUMIX G is stable overall. LUMIX S is the best result ever.
- China is the strongest market.
・Rapid recovery of production and sales
・Securing production and supply by building factories

Ektar 100 in my K1000 with the Super Takumar 20mm/4.5. Looking very glowy because there's smoke in the air from a nearby fire. Ektar 100 by David Holland, on Flickr
