I started with an old Brockway lightmeter, completely analog. Was nice as a start! Upgraded to a 558 used, and finally pulled the trigger on the 758 as I do more video than photography nowadays!

Curing of yellow color of old lens coatings by exposing the lens under UV light

For me, it was about consistency of the lenses through the kit. Having a lens that has yellow tint in it isn't good for me (video-wise) so I "had" to perform the UV treatment on some. At least now, they're equally (mostly) not yellow tinted. So for video, it's perfect as I can switch lenses and I don't have to color correct each shot in post after that!

Thanks guys! I don't post often, but recently, I've just added a 200mm f/4.0 to the collection! Got it for like 50$ USD or so. Nice addition to the kit!

I recently had fun with the Canon C100 and my Takumar lenses!
Especially the 24mm f/3.5:

Old thread, but I'm about to use a LED UV lamp to get rid of some tint in 2-3 lenses I have, including a 28, 35 and 50mm (...the ones you never uses, of course..).
Bought this from Amazon, as my apartment is located in a place where the sun never hits a single window...:

I hope it'll work, as I'll need this in the upcoming days for a shoot.

As soon as I'll take some pictures with my T2i, I'll post them!
As for now, here's some screenshots taken from my C100 videos. First and last are taken from the 50mm f/1.4 and the LightMeter one was with the 24m f/3.5 I think.

Nice, I'll try to take some pictures of the City's best spots then!
Meanwhile, here's my first tests with the C100, at night when it was like -17°C outside! Vimeo and Youtube versions:

Hi, thanks for adding me. I'm from Trois-Rivières, Québec Canada.
I've searched a lot on this forum before registering, and it's been an invaluable information ressource before I get some of the M42 lenses I own.
A couple years ago, my uncle gave me a 50mm f/1.4 and a 135mm f/2.5 Pentax M42 lenses. Both are tack-sharp and gave the best pictures I've ever taken with my Canon T2i (yeah, shooting digital with manual lenses).

From there, when I bought my Canon C100, the choice of getting prime lenses was already in favor of these old Pentax lenses over the Rokinon set (a little over my budget!). So I recently bought a quite "complete" set of old primes, including:
MIR-20m 20mm f/3.5
Pentax Takumar 24mm f/3.5
Pentax Takumar 28mm f/3.5
Pentax Takumar 35mm f/2.0
(already had the 50mm)
Pentax Takumar 85mm f/1.9
Pentax Takumar 105mm f/2.8
(already had the 135mm)
Pentax Takumar 150mm f/4.0
Pentax Takumar 300mm f/4.0

So, I'm now using excellent quality lenses, bought quite cheap for their built and optical qualities. Very happy!
