Works Perfectly. Lightly used, always stored in bag with desiccant. There are faint scuff marks on the bottom from the tripod. A couple of tiny marks on the LCD screen in the upper left corner, barely visible. Fewer than 4,000 actuations. 3 Pentax batteries and 1 Watson battery included, along with the 3 grips, strap, charger, charging cable, original box, manual, magnifying eyecup and documentation.

Ordered new adapter on January 1. Do I get a prize for being the first to fail? I bought a used Panasonic GX8 that I had converted to IR. Just ordered a m4/3 to Pentax K adapter so I can try some nice Pentax glass on the camera.

I had to delete the Image Sync app from my iPhone and download it again. That corrected the problem.

Thanks for doing this! I just started my IR photography journey using a used Panasonic GX8 converted to 720nm. I’ve been using LR and PS to process the images but it’s always handy to have other options — and having a handy guide like yours!

I’d like to try this but I’m not seeing any IR option. I see Bold Monochrome as an option in Digital Filters but the only adjustment degree of “hard.” I have the K1 and KP with the same menu options. Am I in the wrong setting?

Very impressive shots! Well, after struggling for a few days trying to get decent focus, I decided that I just don't have the skills to manage a lens like this. I have returned the adapter and will put this lens up for sale. It needs to get to someone who will enjoy it.

Thanks for the tips! I did quite a bit of reading up on the green hexagon range issue this morning. I just tested the lens on the K1, since the viewfinder is so much easier to use than the KP viewfinder. I discovered that if I take the shot focusing from close to just when the green hexagon lights up, it is much sharper than if I focus from infinity. Going to try to keep it simple today. One camera, one aperture setting. Test on multiple subjects and see how it goes. Thanks again. Was getting totally frustrated yesterday.

Thanks. I did get the Pentax adapter. Both the adapter and lens arrived today. Other than a few blemishes on the exterior, the lens looks great. I tried it with both the KP and K1 and missed focus on pretty much every shot. I do have the lens set to manual. I try to use the green hexagon as focus confirmation but I haven’t had any success. Tomorrow, I’ll set up with the device I use to test for back or front focus and try to see what’s going on. So far, lots of frustration, but not so much with exposure. In aperture priority, the exposure hasn’t been too bad.

Hi all. This will be my first vintage lens. I hope I made a good choice. My other manual lens is the Zeiss Distagon 35mm f/2, which I enjoy using with my K1 and KP. Any tips on using this lens would be greatly appreciated!

I have Reynaud’s so cold hands are a big problem for me when skiing, doing astronomy sessions and photography. For photography and astronomy, I wear a Gerbing’s heated vest. I also have a heated muff but it doesn’t get warm enough for me so I put 2 hand warmers in there. They have 7V heated gloves, glove liners, vests and jackets. I plan to order some of the glove liners. I also stuff hand warmers inside my hat. Gotta keep the head warm.

Sorry about your camera issues. Just an FYI: last year, I bought a K1 off eBay from a seller in Japan. He shipped it immediately and I was astonished when I opened the box. It looked like it had never been opened, never been used. Absolutely perfect. The only problem was the manual is in Japanese. 🙃. I should have anticipated that. I’ve been thinking of selling my lightly used KP. Send me a PM if you’re interested.
