Ordered new adapter on January 1. Do I get a prize for being the first to fail? I bought a used Panasonic GX8 that I had converted to IR. Just ordered a m4/3 to Pentax K adapter so I can try some nice Pentax glass on the camera.

Hi all. This will be my first vintage lens. I hope I made a good choice. My other manual lens is the Zeiss Distagon 35mm f/2, which I enjoy using with my K1 and KP. Any tips on using this lens would be greatly appreciated!

I have Reynaud’s so cold hands are a big problem for me when skiing, doing astronomy sessions and photography. For photography and astronomy, I wear a Gerbing’s heated vest. I also have a heated muff but it doesn’t get warm enough for me so I put 2 hand warmers in there. They have 7V heated gloves, glove liners, vests and jackets. I plan to order some of the glove liners. I also stuff hand warmers inside my hat. Gotta keep the head warm.

We had a stunning sunrise yesterday and I tried to capture it with the K1 and Tokina 28-70mm AT-X Pro at 48mm, F/6.3, ISO 1600:

The fully articulating screen is why I bought a used K1 after doing some astro with my KP.

I just bought a used K1 off EBay. Only 5500+ actuations. It looks like it has never been used. Everything appears to work perfectly. I hope yours is the same. I made sure the dials worked, that I was able to scroll through all of the menus and change settings, and most importantly for me, that I was able to calibrate the GPS and connect to it over WiFi using the Image Sync app. I’m still trying to cope with the size and weight!

I just received the 21mm Irix to be used mainly for Milky Way photography with my KP. I've just tried a few shots with it and it seems a tad soft of the left side of the image. I'd like some tips on how to test if this is a good sample. It's one big honking lens with a very large bulbous front lens. I'll have to make sure it will be stable on my tripod.
Anyway, tips appreciated.

This was my first attempt using my KP with my William Optics ZS110 apo. I got this shot just as the July 4 full moon was rising over Fishers Island, NY. There was lots of haze as the moon was very low in the sky over the sound and the dark area is a small passing cloud.

Hi, all
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm new to Pentax having just sold my m4/3 gear to purchase a KP. I'm impressed with how solid it is and how much simpler the menu system is compared to the Olympus OM-D I had. It's going to take awhile to get used to the OVF. So used to seeing a preview of the exposure through the viewfinder.
