Update: Because I needed it for a certain date, I could risk delays in shipping, so I also ordered the Yongnuo flash as well. The Yongnuo arrived first and I used it at the event. I am incredibly impressed with it.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I ended up finding a good quality used Pentax flash for $100 and bought it.
To answer the question above, its dynamic (a friend's wedding).

Hi there!
I will have a need to stick a flash on my 645Z, and since this is basically a one time thing I'm planning on renting a flash.. which limits me to current model Canon or Nikon. Are these compatible with the camera? Anything I should know? Is either brand better than the other?
Thanks!

Hi!
I have a 645Z that I love, but for one annoying ... "feature". It is future dating by one day some photos. As best as I can tell this is what does it:
- Put card in camera and format it.
- Shoot some photos.
- Take card out of camera and dump some on the computer, but do not reformat it. Photos are dated correctly.
- Keep shooting
- When transferring second batch to computer (using Lightroom import, do not import duplicates), second set of photos are dated tomorrow. This seems to be in the EXIF.
This is what seems to have done it today, as best I can tell. It has happened in the past, but I didn't note that I was doing at the time.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Yeah, the Fuji form factor is nice. I think that if I didn't have lenses already (and there wasn't a plentiful supply of used lenses on the market), the decision would have been much harder to make.
I was shocked at how much I disliked the Hasselblad. The startup time was sooooo slow. The camera felt... I dunno... consumer grade in the hand. Everything is in a menu. Pretty much hated it. I can definitely appreciate what they were going for... but I think they missed the mark on several levels.

Any suggestions for making the most out of this lens on a 645Z? I'm used to shooting with it on my 645N, but with the digital system, I'm open to tips on how to make best use of the sensor.

I recently upgraded to the 645Z. I tried the new Fuji and the Hasselblad before making my decision.
The Hasselblad is garbage. I couldn't believe how much I disliked it.
The Fuji is nice... but it didn't wow me. Not enough to invest in a whole new system of lenses.
I am loving the 645Z. I haven't had it very long, but it has the feel of the 645N that I was used to, and I like that my lenses are compatible (and that there are lots of used lenses on the market).

Hi!
I've been a user of a 645N for about 6 years and love it. Absolutely my favourite medium format film camera. I recently upgraded to a 645Z and am enjoying shooting digital again (haven't shot with a DSLR since 2008 when I went to film only).
If you'd like to see photos of mine, you can check out my flickr.
Looking forward to the discussions on here!

I recently upgraded to the 645Z from the 645N. I have used a lot of medium format film cameras and far and away my favourite was the 645N. LOVE it. And forward compatibility to the digital system is a huge benefit.
