My bad, don't mind the typo 😂.
You are right, it's not a huge difference! I just wish they would let us turn off the processing from the accelerator unit, after we turn off the N.R.
Btw, my buddy owns a K-1, not me. I have used it a lot. And compared it with the raw files from the mk-2. ---------- Post added 12-17-20 at 02:41 AM ----------
Even after NR is turned off, processing effect of the accelerator unit is clearly evident! ---------- Post added 12-17-20 at 02:44 AM ----------
I have seen high iso low light files from cameras. It does. Not saying it's a huge difference. But there is a difference! ---------- Post added 12-17-20 at 02:46 AM ----------
Buddy, I have checked it myself! In extreme situations it does. If you check carefully, you can find it. Not a huge difference, but there is a difference between the raw files of the mk1 and mk2

I have seen high iso, low light, raw files from the k-1 mk2. It smears a lot of detail. Compared it to my friend's k-1. The k-1 has more details. It doesn't look artificial either. ---------- Post added 12-17-20 at 02:25 AM ----------
Instead of the accelerator unit, if they improved the prosessor, and used a better BSI sensor in the next model. I think that would be much better. For the money we pay, the k-1 mk2 is an amazing camera. As soon as it's in stock here I will buy it. ---------- Post added 12-17-20 at 02:29 AM ----------
I don't own a K-1 buddy! My friend does. Why do you think I own a k-1? I don't think I have inferred it. If I owned a k-1 I wouldn't be posting on the raffles thread.
Don't send out wrong signals.

I was actually being serious 🤣. Come to think of it. When sarcastic people think I am serious. When I am serious people think I'm being sarcastic ---------- Post added 12-15-20 at 04:58 PM ----------
It feels as if they added more focusing points to the old sensor. ---------- Post added 12-15-20 at 05:04 PM ----------
Also the k-1 mk2 smears details of the low light pics with their new accelerator unit. Let's see what happens!

From the reviews I have seen, it tends to smoothen out the nose in the raw files. And there is a slight loss of detail. I love the k-1, on the other hand

The 70-210 is a rebranded Tamron. But the 60-250 is a star series lens. It's a Pentax designed lens. And definitely deserves an update

Yes the x pro 1 and the x e1. Compared to the xt series it wasn't a runaway success, tho. It was successful. So they started putting flippy screen on the x series cameras too. Starting with the xm1. That was one hell of a camera. Every since then, they have had flippy screen.
Flippy screen is a really useful tool and adds to the camera experience. A lot of Pentax SLRs have removable tops, for better usability

What the flip? No flip screen?
Who the flip asked them to make a thinner camera?
The k-1 is already durable enough?
What kind of flippery is this?
Backward progress has been the trend of 2020.
They just took the fun out of taking photos. No waist level shots, no, over the head shots, more work while doing astrophotography.
They could have added an old school slr like pentaprism for better manual photography.
Who needs autofocus anyways? Autofocus is over rated.
I guess they have fired the people who designed the K-1.
It's going to be big flipping flop.
After cameras like k-1 and k3 mk2 few people are gonna buy this.
Sadly they just lost a huge chunk of their market. Not going to invest in this. Wanted to buy a new camera in 2021.

Pentax has turned 100! Congrats! I know that Pentax as a company doesn't exist. It's just a brand name. Still I felt that I needed to wish! May the Pentax name live on for a 100 more years! Happy new year to everyone!

I think, since they don't have SMC, a person can get a modern multi coating and compare it to the SMC Takumar. And th
Since these lenses come cheap. Wouldn't it be interesting to see how modern multi coating is compared to smc? ---------- Post added 12-02-18 at 04:25 AM ----------
What if it rocks more after modern multi coating? ---------- Post added 12-02-18 at 04:27 AM ----------
Well if it's too expensive, then it won't be worthwhile. But it's around 100-150$ ballpark. Then it's quite doable.

I wasn't talking about the value. I was talking about seeing this from the perspective of an experiment. And besides, samyang uses cheap plastic for most of it's budget lenses. Also the Takumar isn't coated. But on re coating, you have option of multi coating it.

Why is the SMC Takumar 135mm f2.5 (6 element) costlier than the SMC Pentax 135mm f2.5? In mint condition the Takumar commands a 40-50$ premium over the SMC Pentax. What is the reason? Isn't newer generation lenses supposed to be better than their older kin even by a hair? Better coatings, better contrast, better bokeh, more sharness. What's the reason? Or is the Takumar that much good. That it commands such a premium. Please let me know. Thank you in advance.
