I have had the 35mm f2 and it's a pretty sharp lens on the K-1 with pretty good bokeh. I've not used the 35mm Samyang but I'm pretty sure it will be sharper but the trade off is size and weight. If you are mainly using manual focusing and doing landscape type work have a look at the SMC Takumar 35mm f3.5. I have a minty copy and in my opinion it is just as sharp as the FA35mm and you can pick them up at a fraction of the price. Might be worth a try out.

No but I use the DFA 100 a lot and I do like the 77mm limited although I don't use it as much as i should do. My favourite up to now is the DFA 100mm it's awesome and thanks for your kind comments.

Hi Bruce, I thought the same and almost bought a cheap old 135mm to practice with. in reality I found it quite easy to focus even at f2 especially with the K-1's audible aide. I've only been using it a while but I have some more pics here. It's a fantastic lens, by far the sharpest lens I've ever tested. It's quite heavy though. Samyang 135mm F2 | Flickr |

Playing around with some different photographic techniques this morning. Arguably one of Pentax's sharpest ever lenses... turned on it's head :)

Hi,
I've been using the site a lot recently as a guide for lens buying and have decided to join the forum. I won't be a massive contributor as work and home life are pretty demanding. I do though have a passion for photography and sharing images. Over the years have used most formats and from 10"x 8" plate down.
Here's a link to my site so you can get a flavor for what I do. Chris Johnston | Flickr
All the best, Chris
