Thank you jspi ( K3 III Test photos | Flickr ) for this post !! As one that struggle with the thought of leaving Pentax for Canon mirrorless family, those picture shows that Pentax kept all its advantages in the K3 family + adding the low noise ISO . I think that picture quality + performance / price - put Pentax back in the game

After SO many years with Pentax - Real straggle - staying with "Old" technology of DSLR or Start all over again and move to mirrorless

After 35 years of photography with Pentax equipment there are few rules to keep :)
* RTFM - when having your new camera - Read The F... Manual - actually I download the book before buying the camera to know what to look for.
* Reduce the items to set in the setting memory to the default ones - you don't want to take a quick short with the special setting of yesterday shootings.
* Try to keep the shutter speed to the zoom X2 (50mm @ 1/100; 200mm @ 1/500 etc).
* Be relaxed or creative ( :) ) - your mood is reflected in your pictures !!

Karat is the local distributer in israel.
I wrote them an email asking about the issue " I bought my K-5 in Tokyo" have international warranty. first they stated "we give service to stuff that was bought in our shop only". I asked " So you do not honor Pentax int warranty? " after few days they asked me to bring the camera to their dealer.

Pentax owners
I read every word printed here (just before my decision to switch from K200 to K-5) and I really do not understand some of the thought here. Some of us are protecting Pentax as if we own it. Dam no. we are proud customers as most of the icons in this site. We did not get our equipment for free – we bought it in good price during tens of year (30 as for me). So after so many years we think like a family – Does Pentax Co feel we are its family? We Are Customers! Each one of us paid a good money for Pentax product. And if K-5 has issues with % of the sensor we shouldn’t care if it's 25 , 37,5 or 60.75. It’s a problem - it should be fixed. I will be VERY happy to be a customer of a company that say – Sorry guys ! we are selling product because people like you buy it. If you stop – we will lose money . So anyone that have and issue on our newest flagship – will be treated as a customer not as a nuisance.
Some time I defend the stuff I buy cause I bought it. It should be dealt with Pentax. especially as a group.
