TAKEN USING A PENTAX SMC-A, 50mm F/1.2, SET TO F/1.2 ON A PANASONIC GH5s ---------- Post added 04-10-21 at 01:54 PM ---------- Thank you wkraus for your advice on the K1. I'll do some research on the K1-2. I am happy with the GH5s because I shoot primarily video but do want a good full frame stills camera.

Fantastic powerful pose which communicates with the viewer, nice image tonal range in mono, great use of studio lighting (makes the subject stand out, great depth), great choice of lens for subject and super image. Love it

This is a exceptional shot. I love the composition, image depth, subtle cool colours, the way natural light works with the subject and awesome perspective. A very powerful image well done.

Wow! This is a fab image. Why I rate it so much is because of the difficulties working with shadows from tree branches in high contrast lighting. Here you have managed the shadows very well on the model's face. Love the shallow depth of field, amazing bokeh, composition and colour. Nominated

Hi Adam
I am very lucky to be alive after getting infected with coronavirus 3 times in 14 months. I almost lost my life 6 times and almost lost 2 of my 3 children form it. Coronavirus is more deadlier than I ever thought it was. The first time I got infected, I never knew what it was and visited A&E I was told I had a virus but they did not know what it was. My infection led to coronavirus induced pneumonia which almost shut all the organs down in my body. Breathless is a understatement. I was staring at death. What saved me was Doxycycline antibiotics for pneumonia chest infection, taking 323mg of iron tablets everyday (Iron helps move oxygen around the body), Drinking hot boiled ginger root tea (and I mean Hot), Sleeping in a vertical position for 2 weeks and eating lots of Raw garlic. The 2nd time I caught it wasn't life threatening and passed within 3 weeks but the third time I caught it was deadly. This one gave me congestive heart failure, blood clotting of the feet and legs and serious headaches plus a lot more. I am now scared to death of this virus. Isolation is the best way until they sort out this virus. Watch out for the mutations. Hope everyone keeps safe.

I have a Pentax SMC-A 50mm F/1.2 Lens and purchased it around 4 years ago for £640 mint. I love the character of this lens. I also have the Pentax 50mm F/1.7 of which I use them on my Panasonic GH5s. What I need to get hold of is a Pentax Full frame digital camera. Will do some research on what one to purchase

What camera body are you using your Pentax and Canon lens on? I'm using micro four thirds GH5s so the results may differ on a full frame camera. I get the perfect image on my GH5s using a PENTAX SMC-A 50mm F/1.2 prime lens.

Sorry for the late reply, yes! That's me. The Olympus 50mm F/1.4 is soft. I sold both my Olympus & Pentax 50mm F/1.4 along with the 50mmF/1.2 and purchased a Pentax SMX - A 50mm F/1.2 and love it. I have also replaced my expensive Voigtlander 42.5mm F/0.95 with a new one after dropping it. The best of the Pentax 50mm is the SMC-A F/1.2. Another Pentax 50mm lens I use is the 50mm F/1.7 excellent lens. I use them on a Panasonic GH5s ---------- Post added 12-15-19 at 02:21 PM ----------
The Pentax 50mm f1.2 is the best of the bunch. ---------- Post added 12-15-19 at 02:40 PM ----------
Get the Pentax SMC-A 50mm F/1.2 lens and you will not be disappointed. Another great lens is the Pentax SMC-M 50mm F/1.7 but the F/1.2 is on another level

I have since sold my Pentax SMC-M 50mm F/1.2 and have purchased the SMC-A version. The SMC-A version is the best 50mm lens I have ever owned for my Panasonic GH5s. I also use a Voiglander 42.5mm F/0.95 on my GH5s and the Pentax SMC-A 50mm F/1.2 can compete with it. I paid £650 for my mint copy (which is expensive) and have no regrets. I have owned this lens for around 2 years now and absolutely love it.

Wow! awesome! Shot. This reminds me of the 1954 American black-and-white science fiction monster film "Them!" from Warner Bros. This shot has incredible macro detail, is well lit and composed

Just purchased a Pentax SMC 50mm F/1.2. I already have the Pentax SMC 50mm F/1.4 version and would like to compare the 2 in a test. I also have a Olympus 50mm F/1.4 which I haven't tested yet. I had a Voigtlander 42.5mm F/0.95 lens and dropped on concrete when my bag zip failed.
