Right, I'm happy with the lens as it is. I just want to make sure I'm getting as much value as I can out of the lens.
With that said, I guess I'll just leave it as it is. I'm not very confident in my ability to take the lens apart and then reassemble it. It doesn't seem worth having the repairman take it apart either since the cost is roughly 2/3rds of what I paid for the lens.
At any rate, thank you all for your time and insights! Much appreciated!

Would it be easier than fixing balsam separation though? I assume that both will involve taking apart the front three glass elements? ---------- Post added 10-09-17 at 11:21 AM ---------- DAMN! I certainly didn't expect this many replies to my problem. Thanks guys!
Assuming it's an oil issue, is it worth fixing though? For example, will the image quality be badly compromised? Will the problem lead to more complications later on?

Hello all! I noticed that this has been asked before but I would like an opinion for my particular case.
A couple of weeks ago, I (finally) got my hands on a SMC Pentax F 70-210 4-5.6 lens. It takes great photos and I was very happy with it until I found this artefacts on the lens (see picture)
It looks like it's on the back of the front glass element though I cannot be sure. I've taken it to a local repairman in Singapore and he thinks its lens delamination/disintegration. After googling some images up, I'd agree too. However, I'd be more comfortable if I had more opinions.
Is this simply a delimination or is fungus involved? I want to know so that I can decide on whether I can keep it together with my 24-70 and k-1. On that note, can fungus in lens cross over to cameras when mounted? Thanks!
