You know that you can find information on the internet that dates back to the K3II being discontinued in Jan. of 2017.
Who knows, it is the freaking internet.
Up to you if you want a K3II or not while they are still available.

Now that is very disconcerting.
Just went to Ricoh/Europe and no K3II even listed, was not doubting you but had to check for myself.
Are there other parts of the world with selective camera body sales ?
I guess I am just out of the loop.
Figured anything Pentax was available all over the world, guess not.

I am not wanting a new crop sensor dslr, so no dog in this fight.
After reading through this thread from the beginning and looking at the history of dslr production and discontinuation dates.
My question is not "when is the new crop dslr body coming out".
The question I have is "when are they going to discontinue the K3II" ?
With the K1's, KP, K70 and K3II still in production it may be all we see for quite a while.
They may focus on lenses for now.
Just thinking out loud.

About 4 months a go I came across one at KEH.
At $125 it was more than half what I paid for the P645.
I figured it would be good insurance and went ahead with the purchase.
Grip is in very good condition and battery holder in excellent condition, installed it and functions fine.
Put away for the just in case I ever need it day.
Good luck and keep looking.

Even the last update April 2018 of Digital camera utility 5 there is a note in very small print that basically says it does not support handheld pixel shift.

I will be moving over to full frame shortly.
Have owned the K1 for about 4 months now and not picked up any of the crop bodies.
For what I do it is the better system to my eyes and senses.
Big plus is I have a lot of good legacy glass that work well with the K1.
Only have a few crop lenses but they can be used on the K1 also.
This gives me a good reason to thin the herd and I really need to.
I will keep the K7 for my macro/bellows work cause no sense in trying to sell it, won't get more than a hundred bucks for it anyway.
The K5II and K5IIs will go sometime soon when I have the time to get everything together.
