Yes prime focus, 12" Dob telescope 1500mm fl. I had to raise the mirror up two inches to reach focus with my K50.

Thanks all for the replies, I'm new to photography, I bought my K50 to learn AP and really don't know a lot about photography other then Astrophotography guess I took the hard road first lol. But did learn a lot about polarizing filters here, thanks all.

Got this filter with a Sears 28mm lens from the 60s. Has a peg as shown in photo where you can rotate the filter, anyone know the purpose for that ?
Would this filter be good to use with todays DSLRs

Well was able to focus on the MW last night and like you said not a great lens for AP. Don't need to look far from the center of image to see the field curvature. Stopped down to F8, F4 was vary bad. Two min exposure ISO 800 bortle 8 sky.

Was able to adjust and now can go past infinity all is good. First pic at infinity before adjustment, distance about 200'

Yes the adapter inserts flush to the camera mount face...

I'm sure I have the correct adapter, no flange,lens screws tight to camera mount face. Here is a pic set to infinity, does it look in focus ? The tree just above the roof peak is about 100+ feet away but looks out of focus. I know not the best photo to check focus.

I bought the M42 adapter for my K50 and its a good fit. I also bought the 135mm f3.5 that was with this kit to the old Sears film camera that also did not reach infinity with my K50 but found directions on how, this lens is different however.

Would anyone know the procedure to adjust the infinity stop on this lens ? Will not quite reach infinity with my K50 Thanks...

Thanks for the imfo Steve, I also bought a 135mm f 3.5 for $15.00 .He also has a 50mm or 55mm ,he bought the camera and three lenses for $15.00 lol .I may need to buy that one also. pic with the 135mm

Bought this from a friend last night for $15.00 . anyone know the maker and what year it may be ? I took a few close up shots this morning with my K50 , I'm no pro but they look pretty good to me.

Hello all, I just bought a 135mm lens, its old and from sears made in Japan , Seems to be a sharp lens but cant focus to infinity .I need a few more mm of in focus.
Is there a low profile T ring for the K50 ? or other way to mount this lens Thanks
