As for me personally,
I'd prefer Pentax to stay "unknown" but continue to make excellent cameras with nice features to price ratio.

Agree with you.
Even have a glance at studio / flash lights manufacturers - they support Panasonic, Fuji, Olympus, even medium format, but they do not have Pentax support.
This demonstrates the lack of marketing policy.
Though cameras are really great, definitely not worse than from other brands.
