Awesome,thanks so much for everyone's input, and cheers for the comparison photo monochrome:) Most of all I'm excited to get this lens and start taking snaps, I just ordered the black:)

Sorry Garry, my apologies. I worded it wrong. Technically it's not in stock at the local store, just at the warehouse. I just have to order it and it will be there for store pick up two days later. Camera House have it at $999 currently. $150-200 cheaper than many others.

Thanks guys, yea I was thinking black on black would be the easy decision but wasn't sure if anyone had silver lens with black body and were happy with that combo. My local store has both in stock for $999 AUD

Ok guys, I am ordering a 77mm 1.8 limited lens tonight, and have a black K1.
I am a little undecided on which color to get. Black or silver? What do you guys have and what do you prefer?
I did a google image search but wasn't overly successful, so feel free to post pics.

Great advice. I was needing this information. Does shooting jpeg over RAW help as well?

Thanks for the help guys! I currently am subscribed to Lightroom so just needing a good option for the pixel shift files. I updated the latest firmware when I received the camera. I’ll give these options a go! Thanks again!

Excellent images!!! I am only a new owner of the K1 and keen to try the Pixel Shift. I only bought my K1 second hand and it didnt come with the software. I have downlaoded what I thought was the software but an error comes up in the install. It says "Cannot find old version that is valid target of upgrading. Installation is cancelled." Anyone be able to help me out? It will be much appriciated:)

Yes I agree, I think the NISI S5 will be great. While I haven't used any other brands, I currently use the NISI V5 PRO Holder and have been very impressed with their holder and filters. I will be getting the S5. Can't wait!

Wow. So many amazing photos. I have just upgraded to the K1 after using a K50 for the last year. Was deciding between the 24-70 and 15-30 Pentax F DA for my first lens. The advantage was I would have been able to use my NISI filters on the 24-70.
I think I am going to go with the Wider lens. So many amazing photos posted, and landscape is my passion.
Look forward to following and joining this thread owning my own 15-30!
