Yvon Bourque's K-70 Book. Is it worth it? Just my opinion.

Do you have a link to the ebook? I found a sampler and it looked good.

Thanks in advance.

Some cracking pics on here so far. I received mine last week and have only had a play a few times using it with my SIGMA AF 28-80mm lens but I can't wait to take it out some more. Some of my efforts taken as jpgs as idiot forgot to change it to RAW :)

This one was converted to Black and White in camera.

Darktable is also a good alternative/compliment to Rawtherapee and there are plenty of tutorial videos on YouTube.

Lovely photo :)

For those in the UK I found that Amazon and Wex Photovideo are showing an offer of a £90 off voucher valid until 31/08/18 on the Pentax K-70. Body only is £509 after voucher.

Amazon also has the offer on a bunch of bundles.

Just used it myself to buy one :)

It's not so much Pentax in general as I love my *istDL2 and use it regularly. It's just disappointing that the first one I see had the issue so it's now down to picking the right upgrade path as I'd rather not have to rebuild the lens collection :)

Back to the drawing board methinks.

All I can say is thanks for the tips on this post. Went to buy a K50 today that looked in mint condition. Took a spare lens with me just in case and tried out the camera. Lo and behold dark pictures under A and clear under ring selection so looked like the aperture block issue. Saved me some heartache from buying a faulty camera.

Disappointing really as want to keep with Pentax but is rather off putting.

Btw that camera apparently had 3,750 actuations.

I picked up an *istDL2 for £20 a couple of years ago with an "auto-focus" fault which was actually down to the fact the lens wasn't AF :)

Taken yesterday with Sigma lens.

An extremely amateur photographer with a penchant for film. Started a few years ago after buying a Miranda MS-3 SLR on eBay quite cheaply to learn how to take photos using manual focus, shutter speed and exposure. The plan was to improve and moved to DSLR but to be honest I'm still in love with film.

Purchased a Pentax Z-70 a month ago to add to supplement the Miranda and be able to shoot in colour and black and white at the same time. Still learning and making mistakes so decided to add a Pentax ist DL2 to the collection to practice.
