Overall I am pretty happy with this old lens. I ordered it on Amazon for $259 and they forgot to send me the hood shade so Amazon gave me a credit for $51!. I pretty much got this lens for $200. It seems its pretty sharp @ 2.8 and I love how close I can get with it.

Would I still be able to take a focused shot to the left of the frame if I had focused through the view finder?

I think its because the AF blink notification is so large that its actually distracting when trying to focus on something. I remember even my old Pentax k10 was just a small dot that lit up.

I had a hard time deciding on If I was going to return the Rokinon 85mm 1.4 but after messing around with it in live mode it made me grin once I started clicking. Why is getting the subject in focus with these things such a PITA using the viewfinder? I dont remember my 5D ii or 5D iii doing that and I owned the same lens for Canon. Seems like focus is a hit or miss in the finder but I will glady use live view now that I see what it can do.

Tested out my new K1 with the 85mm Rokinon. It seems to be a hit or miss with this lens but I guess I cant complain for the price tag. Its a bummer too how I can't change the focus points using a manual lens ): @ 1.4 1/50th

How? when it says " k1 discontinued" ? Never said anything about a tablet. You guys are so quick to flame someone . You all would of done the same thing if you saw that.

I have used B&H and Adorama for years but that no interest for 1 year on Amazon looks good. I don’t have paypal credit anymore for reasons I don't want to get into right now. I have a Balance transfer option for 15 months on a barclay card but it ends on Thur.. so if I buy it now on another card idk if the payment will clear in time for me to balance transfer it to the barclay. Ugh idk what to doooooo:mad:

Hi, I'm Nick from NY.
I got into photography in late 2008 and my first DSLR was a K10D. I jumped into Canon in 2011 doing some paid work and around 2013 I gave up my passion as I got divorced and fell into some depression. I want to get back into it again but just as a hobby and family photos. I just want one full frame body and maybe a few prime lenses. I had my eye on the 6D or 6Dmii but after seeing the K1 I am pretty torn. If I bought the K1 I would buy the 50mm DA 1.8 to start or the Canon 50mm 1.8 if I go with Canon. I don’t want to go crazy with money like I did in the past but I def want FF and a few primes. I've owned the K10D, K20D, 20D, 7D , 5D ii , 5D iii Help me out here guys. I also heard Pentax rumors about pentax being in trouble and not producing anymore new equipment. is this true?
