Yeah, it's looking to be that way, though I'll keep feelers out anyways, even for parts lenses with a clear rear element.
I can work with the haze until then, it works for certain things.

So the local camera repair shop cannot de-haze my lens due to the haze being in the rear element that is cemented together. The lens is a Mamiya K/L 127mm 3.5.
Short of buying a haze-free lens (which I may do, but a lot of them seem to have haze), does anybody have any leads on lens repair places (in North America, Canada even better) that could tackle this problem? Maybe somebody has a spare rear element kicking around? Maybe pigs fly?
Thanks for any and all help.

Gotta de-haze my lens, but it worked for this series (of which you can find the whole thing on my website): It's Still Life by Jelly Geist, on Flickr

I'm sorry to hear about what happened to your father, it's a terrible thing to be thought disposable after so many years of service. Pacific Ave, more or less by Jelly Geist, on Flickr

Works great at night, didn't even need much colour correction on the scan. The slide itself looks exactly how I figured it would.

I might do. I'm well familiar with the homeless and vulnerable people who were sheltering there before they got locked out and all their belongings got scooped out by a front loader.
There are no 24/7/365 shelters in my town despite the opiate and meth crisis, so the people at the very bottom try to do the best they can, and me and my coworkers tried to help them out as best we could.
This picture is a memory of that place, and a reminder of how bad things can get when you fall through the cracks and nobody really cares that you did. I'd gladly hang it up.

Thanks!
I live about 30 minutes north of Souris, was teaching in the high school there for a bit. The bridge has indeed been upgraded, as it washed away during a rather nasty flood that hit the Souris River in 2011.

I don't consider myself a documentary or political photographer, but I definitely had a motive taking this (said motive can be read in the Flickr description): Run greyhound run by Jelly Geist, on Flickr

There is a small town near where I live that actually has 867 as the first three numbers of their phone numbers. My friend's dad had a cabin out there and he really wanted 867-5309 as his number because apparently he wanted to be harassed all day. He was an odd man.

I like that second one quite a bit. The lighting in landscapes like that can get really abstract and wacky and cool.

First roll with my Olympus XA. I am not very good at focussing rangefinders yet but there were quite a few keepers for a first roll so I'm happy.
