Okay, paint me stupid! Apparently when I was setting the aperture I moved the wrong dial at first. It wasn't at 160 like it should have been. I checked every setting but that when I was troubleshooting. Thanks for setting me straight.

I am using the Neewer NW561 Flash Speedlite with a 2.4G Wireless Trigger on my K-70. The flash no longer fires in manual mode. It works in auto mode and the flash test button fires the unit. I tried the trigger on my K-50 and it works fine. Any ideas of why this is not working in manual mode on the K-70 would be appreciated. Thank you.

My hobby is building dioramas for my collection of various scales of figures. This diorama is a scene on the deck of the Black Pearl just outside the captain’s cabin. The diorama was built using XPS foam with the exception of the wooden dowel used for the mast. The action figure I used to cast the statues on either side of the captain's door is a 4 3/4 inch Deanna Troi action figure made by Playmates Toys back in the early 90’s. The figures are from the Pirates of the Caribbean NECA 7 inch (1:10) series.

It's actually a LED panel light shot through a diffuser set low and pointing up at the figures inside. You can see the light shinning through the air vents just to the left of the door just above the plant leaf. I hadn't notice it was in the shot but it isn't all that noticeable and this was the best of the group of shots I took.

“Seriously? What idiot designed this gun?” Athena wonders. This is the Hyperblaster weapon from Quake 2 and the actual scale to the marine as it was in the game.

Special Forces raid a cabin in the woods with two terrorist. As Gomer Pyle would say: “Surprise, surprise!”. This is a composite of photos taken with the K-70 and using two lenses: the Pentax DA L 18-55mm WR f3.5-5.6 and Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG Macro Telephoto Zoom lens.

I mainly use a M42 adapter and two fully manual lenses: the Soligor F:2.8 28mm or Asahi F:1.8 55mm, on my K-50 for macro shots. Before I got the adapter and lenses I used the Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG Macro Telephoto Zoom. This photo was taken in January this year after a freezing rain using that lens.

I shoot most of my macro shots with an extension tube. I do have the Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG Macro Telephoto Zoom that I use on my K-70 but it is not a true macro lens (1:2 I think). For the most part I use a M42 adapter and two fully manual lenses: the Soligor F:2.8 28mm or Asahi F:1.8 55mm, on my K-50. One day I hope to be able to afford a proper macro lens but in the meantime my current setup is working beautifully for me.

Thank you for the reply CarlJF. Apparently The K-50 and K-70 RAW formats are not compatible in-camera. I shot the RAW file on my K-50 but when I learned about the option to fix the photo in-camera I copied the file onto the K-70 card. Well that doesn't work. I copied it to the K-50 and 'fixed' my issue...which in this case was me ;o)

I have a RAW image that I want to test different camera settings to ‘fix’ it and then convert to a JPEG image.
I am not sure what I am doing wrong but when I try to convert the RAW image to a JPEG in-camera I get an error saying that “No image can be processed”. I press the playback button and select the image. I then press the WB button to bring up the Raw Development screen and select the icon with RAW and a down arrow. I then choose the ‘Select single image’ option and get that error message. My first thought was that the SD card was in write protect but it was not. I checked the manual and also did a search for the solution but found nothing. Thanking you in advance for any help with this issue.
