Thanks! It took a lot of playing around to find an angle that didn't punish me for being too lazy to focus stack
I hate to admit it but I love bokeh and I love to pixel peep. I kinda wanted to stop down for more DoF but diffraction spooked me and so I went back to F/4.
I guess I need to get another few dead bees from my mate with beehives and keep practicing.

That new(ish) Laowa 2x 100mm macro is so difficult to handle. Learning how to use it at the moment with the help of this bee.

K-1 updated with modern connectivity/card slots and the D850 sensor. Maybe a faster burst rate and better video options?
...but if we want to get ridiculous, a 150mp digital 6x7 with all the bells, whistles and pentax special sauce. Ibis, pixel shift, astrotracer, everything. And a monochrome version of it as well.

You can order it now from Laowa's official taobao store if you really want to. I'm just gonna wait for an official English channel to start selling it though.

I have been saved by Adam's deadline extension :p
Anyways, here's my design. Inspired by Astrotracer, I made a stylized, doodle KAF-mount filled with the infinite of space. |

I just typed 85mm into the search box :p
Nah, you'll have to declare it and pay duty since you'll be bringing back stuff worth over $750. (alternatively you could scrap the packaging/manuals, use the lens a bit and not declare it on your entry card, but legally, that would count as smuggling)

Pricing on the DFA85 directly from Ian R Little (I'm actually a little surprised I got such a quick response).

Very interested. I've just sold my trading card collection and have some extra cash to put into my Pentax collection (the 85 will surely sit nicely next to my DFA50 ).
I'd also be keen on teaming up for a group buy.

I had the exact same issue with the same lens.
Had a local camera repair store look at it and the issue was a cracked spur gear in the AF mechanism. Unfortunately we couldn't source an official replacement part because there's almost no way to get service parts here in NZ. In the end I had to measure the gear and order a generic brass spur gear (that luckily matched in specs) to replace the broken one.

Looks like it's a Pentax MII 30087 eyecup and the blue things are limited edition blue Peak Design anchors.

Yeah, more or less. Prices were adjusted for currency differences at the time but they didn't really charge anything additional like international shipping and stuff for ordering the stuff from Aus (I guess it comes in together with their other usual stuff).

The NZ CRK office helped me order a bunch of Pentax 100 year anniversary merch from their Aus branch a few months ago. They don't carry Pentax stock on hand but if you get in touch with their sales team they might be able to help you out.

They charged me $305 for replacement of the top cover assembly and recalibrating whatever might have been impacted by the damage. I had bought my K1 from B&H with a squaretrade accidental drops warranty and I just sent them the invoice and ended up not having pay anything
I was thinking of going to IRL for help but on their website they mentioned they "do not provide any warranty, guarantee, repair facility or spare parts for parallel imported products." so I didn't really bother to ask them and from what I read about CRK from the Aussie members on this forum, they seemed really good.

Who is the NZ Pentax service agent? I remember when I cracked the top cover of my Silver K1  ...I ended up taking the camera to CR Kennedy's office in Mt. Wellington who sent to Aus who in turn sent it to Japan to get it fixed. At that time though, CRK wasn't (and still isn't afaik) the official Pentax service agent in NZ.

It was $94 + shipping.
Almost a dollar cheaper than buying it in Aus after conversion!
