All:
B & H has Tamron 70 - 200 /f2.8 in stock.
I am eager to hear any feedback on this lens. And, possibly a Tele converter that works with Tamron 70-200/f2.8 and Pentax K10D.
Thanks

Folks
I bought a Kenko tube for K10D at B & H for use with my Sigma 18-200 Lens. Tube did not fit into K10D. I returned it next day.
You may want to make sure that it fits well for the combination of lens and body.

I have been using 540 for a while. I user it only when there is ablsolutely no other choice. In most cases, I use the flash with Stofen diffuser (in close range). Results are great when the background is DARK (or not too light).
I have noticed that I get too much under exposure when the background is light colored e.g white wall. I am yet to figure out the best setting in such cases.
I still like NO FLASH photography, so ended up buying a 50mm/1.4 lens and may buy DA* 2.8 when they are avaialble !!
Have fun

I bought a Pentax FA 50mm f/1.4 last week. It is a great lens. Excellent quality, specially at low light.
Go for it.

Finally, decided to follow suggestion to try with an OLD-NEW lens. I bought a Venus 2.8 135 mm K-Mount lens on eBay. This is BEST $26 I ever spent. I am very pleased with the result. As was pointed out earlier, focussing manually when a Kid is monkeying around is a challege !!
I wonder if any one has advice on best practices for using manual focus lens on K10D.
BTW, This forum is great ..

Hello
As suggested, I browsed concert pictures thread.
Inspired by the comments, I stopped by B & H Super Store today, tried Sigma 70-200 2.8 DG lens. I was impressed by the quality of picture indoor. Sticker price is little hefty & heavy !!
Then I saw, Pentax DA series announcement. Pentax appears to be catching up on lens in his arena, slo..wly.
Not sure yet if I should jump in and spend on Sigma above. Any thoughts.

It is an interesting situation to get kids pictures without causing distarction with Flash photography. Looks like I need to pick up F2.8 or 1.4 lense, a good editor and learn technique from many experts.
And, may be come back with more questions soon !!
Thanks all

Hello
I need Tips on Clicking Kids/Amateur Stage performance photographs. Most of the school stages have low light and flood lights. I have noticed pictures at High ISO number have yellowish color, possibly due to color temperature of stage light.
Any tips to improve, at low or no-cost is appreciated.
BTW, I have a K10D. Sigma 18-200 Lens, Pentax AF 540 FGZ flah and Stofen Diffuser.
Thanks
