Sorry folks, I often use my own personal abbreviations for cameras. It's an A7 mark 2, A7ii - or for me an alpha/seven/beta

I swapped an e-m1 and a few little-used lenses for an a7b, should be fun with my K' 28/50/85/135, 17-28 fisheye and their 28-70 kit. Thanks for showing off your photon grabs here!

Hm, I have an old box of nikon-f lenses around here somewhere..

I did the exact same thing. Sadly the hired help could not show me how to make my M40/2.8 work with the camera - so I spent a year and some amazing 2009 scenery on a "sony" A200 before rejoining the K-team.

But by then I'd traded the M40 for Alpha gear :(

Think technical vs. artistic and you're in the ballpark. Art is more subjective and technicalities can be measured.

Excellence really is subjective with Pentax :)

Picked up a Pentax strap with clips
for my K-s2. Once upon a time I had matching clips attached to my backpack frame, it worked nicely.. sure hope I can find them!

Wonder what firmware his body has. AF definitely improved with firmware, but reviewers seldom did a follow-up to improve the tarnished reputation.

No doubt the K-02 with a stacked 26Mpx sensor would be amazing, with vertical EVF in place of flash a la TLR design, and on-sensor PDAF and/or Z9 shutterless design with a mess of internal memory for speedy sensor readout. Sorry Robin, to use K-mount lenses it has to be ~dSLR size; also check out the G9 and GH5+ if you think the K-01 is "too big".

Makes me think of seeking a panda again - dam u RW! :o

Got an EX k-5iiS body. Feels nice to have a familiar 5-series in hand again!
Also a zs100 for pocket carrying, and an xt-100 for future-proofing. Nothing released until recently in Fuji has wr+ibis, and none available used <$1k - but this will do. Bayer array, 2x tilt touchscreen, dslr not trendy "retro" ergnomics. That's my style :)

I'm future-proofing my kit with an xT100 (again) and TtArtisan 17+35 plus smc 50/ 85/ 135/ 200. Not much apsc mirrorless out there, and sadly fX not PK is attracting 3rd party interest now that the fX mount is 'open source'.

Maybe in a year or so I'll expand it, but this is a decent foot in the door until the k-01ii magically appears 😉

The 17/1.4 is in the new titanium shade which might match the dark-silver t100 (x-tC in roman) while the 35/1.4 is bright silver.. that's one way to tell 'em apart!

I should have done more diligence.. perhaps.. Nah. :D

I've a Focal 80-200/3.5 on the way. A curious beast, and quite different from the JCPenney I tried before. This one has a sliding shade, some kind of macro setting (1:5 max?), takes 67mm filters.. and weighs 885g? Still lighter than the 2.8 versions for 1/2 stop penalty.. lighter than the JCP too.

More details at The Focal 80-200 mm f/ 3.5 MC Lens. Specs. MTF Charts. User Reviews.

We'll keep ya informed..

The focus-limiter concept is a big selling point for eM1 markii/iii, where it is incorporated into the AF system. Any AF lens can play that way!

Thanks for the demo.
I've owned several copies of the 3.5 and appreciated them. Great tiny tele on Micro43 bodies. My most recent copy is quite good wide open so perhaps I'm finally done letting them go!

This is why I am not a side-flip-screen fan. Flip-twist rather than simple tilt.. does not sound like much, but I really prefer the screen behind not beside the camera.
Now a screen hinged on top? I'd be OK with that, with subsequent twist or not, as the screen is still centered on the body for ideal TLR mimicry.

FYI.. I put the 18-50re on my k-1 and shot in square mode. Image width is equivalent to 28mm or slightly wider, with no vignette. WR and silent focus are nice, but full sensor shots vignette to ~30mm.

The A20 is out there also, at f/2.8. I'd prefer the 20mm in some form but for now the F17-28 fisheye is holding down that spot. It's quite decent, and when shot with horizon centered it can do nice landscapes.

One reason I've sought out TTArtisan lenses in the past is that they give excellent results on μ43/fuji with no corrections applied. That's also why I returned to Pentax - to use lenses in a system where such corrections are optional.
