You'll thoroughly enjoy it. Lots to cover in the manual but so much fun to learn and master.

Thank you all for the insight. All this time I was under the impression I was doing things right by storing my lens in a camera bag...After hearing about lens fungus I did more research and found out I was doing the worst thing I could. I will be looking into a replacement lens in the future. I switched to my 80-200mm lens and low and behold, even the view finder cleared up.... I have learned plenty already. Thank you

Ok this is my first post in the forums looking for answers.
I am using my Pentax K50 in manual mode, green button set to Tv-Shift. My lens is an older Prospec 28-70mm lens. I have been setting my focal length to 50-55 which I thought I read somewhere, was the middle of the road for that lens.
My pictures all seem to come out with (Sorry, don't know the proper term) a whitewashed finish. Colors are "dull". (Uploading and example).
I am always willing to learn and listen, and in turn, share with others. Any thoughts.

Just wanted to say hello to the forums as suggested.
I am a very amateur camera user. I had my first Pentax around 28 years ago. For my first wedding anniversary my lovely wife bought me a K-1000 35mm camera kit with a 28-70 mm lens and a 70-200mm lens. I am currently using (playing with) a Pentax K50 using the same manual lenses. So many settings to go through and get straightened out. LOL
Anywho, Just saying hello and introducing myself to the forum. Take care everyone... happy photographing!
