Well, whatever it cost new, I think it is a fab piece of glass. Much better than the DA 50-200 and Tamron 70-300 I have used. I love it as much as my Pentax-F 50mm 1.7 and that is saying something.

I know this thread died a good while ago but I want to give something back if anyone else is considering the pentax-f 70-210. I think the pentax-f 70-210mm is a fantastic lens. I've just posted a review and some examples in the lens reviews. Yeah, its a bit heavy and a noisy but the image quality is wonderful. Have a look if you're interested.

Can any of you suggest a reasonably-priced person or company who can service a pentax-f 35-70? I really like the lens but it has what looks like oil or cleaning fluid drops on one of the elements towards the front of the lens. Other than that the lens is fully functional.
Alternatively, if anyone tells me that it is easy to take apart and gives me instructions on how to do so I will be happy to hear.
