That was my thinking ---------- Post added 10-17-21 at 04:56 PM ----------
My lenses are a 14-70 2.8 and a 79-200 2.8 ---------- Post added 10-17-21 at 04:58 PM ----------
I'd be using a 24-70 2.8
Weight and bulk not a concern
This is for paid commercial work ---------- Post added 10-17-21 at 05:04 PM ----------
Thank you for the insight

Concert photographer here. I'm switching out my K-7 for a new unit. I have a choice between either a never used K-70 or a low-actuation K-1 ii.
Knowing the lighting conditions at shows which would be your choice and why?
Thanks for the info and help.

I just bought a new K-1 Mark II. My Sigma 50-500mm f/4-6.3 APO EX lens does not work with the new body. The lens attaches and fits fine but that's it. When the shutter button is depressed the screen goes black until shutter button is released. There is no focus, no nothing. The lens works perfectly on my K-7 and K-10D. I my Pentax lenses work fine on the K-1. The lens is older if that matters. Can I still get firmware update?
Any other ideas?

Can someone recommend an authorized Pentax DSLR service center here in South Florida. The internet has been of no use in locating one. If nobody knows of a center here in Soth Florida, how about anywhere else nationwide that I can ship my K-10D off to.

Hi All,
I just purchased my first prime lens. I went with the work horse Pentax 50mm 1.8 DA lens. My intent is to use this for shooting low light concerts and the like using my K-7.
My issue is this. I have the K-7 in Av mode and set at 1.8 but it appears that the camera displays 2.0 in low light conditions. How can this be? I assumed that setting the aperture in Av mode meant that the aperture remained at the set point.
Cheers,
Geoff
