Of course, the Japanese Pentax guy was really polite to the customer. He said, "Pentax will continue to improve the capabilities of its full-frame camera lineup" or something along these lines. I couldn't remember the exact words though.
Nevertheless, the Pentax representative also gave a hint in a conversation with another guy that one should not expect to see a new Pentax full-frame camera in 2020. Such a piece of that information isn't new to many people here anyway.

Is this partly due to the fact that the Olympics 2020 is approaching? Professional sports photographers may be familiar with DSLR more than recent mirrorless models and their companies also have collections of lenses for Canon EF mount as well as Nikon FX mount.
In comparison to EVF, OVF introduces no lag in seeing through a viewfinder; this is very beneficial to sports photographers. In term of power consumption, OVF requires less power. Shooting with a mirrorless camera, one may need to prepare a lot of spare batteries to cover the whole game in sports.
Anyway, both DSLR and mirrorless cameras have their own pros and cons.

Rather than an extended ISO range, I would prefer extending the range of native ISO. Having ISO 64 for a Sunny day is useful for me.

Others might have already answered the question with an explanation. But let me try to illustrate this with a simple math equation. Note that * denotes a multiplication and / denotes a division. From my understanding, the crop factor for 6x7 format should be estimated to 0.5 in comparison to 35mm full-frame sensor. So when you use a lens from 6x7 format on a full-frame sensor, the number must be doubled.
MF6x7 * 2 = FF
FF * 1.5 = APSC
Therefore,
MF6x7 * 2 = APSC / 1.5
We will get:
APSC = MF6x7 * 2 * 1.5
If case of 150mm lens in MF6x7 on APS-C:
APSC = 150 * 2 * 1.5 = 450
If you use 150mm 6x7 format lens on a 35mm full-frame sensor, it gives you 300mm in medium format 6x7 equivalent focal length.
Thinking logically, an APS-C sensor is smaller than a 35mm full-frame sensor so the number should be bigger than 300mm as well.
So, the answer is: 450mm in medium format 6x7 equivalent focal length if you use 150mm 6x7 format lens on an APS-C sensor size.

Although I have never owned this lens (I wish I could...), let me guess based on my knowledge.
Your understanding is correct; the depth-of-field scale should be varied with different focal length and lens design. In the case of the HD DA 20-40mm lens, which is a zoom lens, I believe its depth-of-field scale applies to the longest focal length, which is 40mm.
Let me provide a few reasons to support my belief.
First, we can see that the scale starting from f/4 to f/32; this range applies to the long-end, obviously.
Second, the longer the focal length the narrower the depth-of-field. Therefore, applying the depth-of-field scale of the long-end shall also ensure enough depth-of-field for any shorter focal length because the depth-of-field of a shorter focal length is wider anyway. This leads me to believe that the scale may not be precise for the short-end, however, it should be good enough to be used in practice.
I hope that helps!!

- a custom wood grip made by Miraku Techno wood (in red or sumi black, respectively)
- a lens mount made of Citizen's Diamond Like Carbon, which gives a unique look and adds durability
- a custom top cover and metal hotshoe mount (in black or navy, respectively)

This firmware is for KP, thus it is not going to include U5. So I believe there is nothing new to overwrite your U5. There will be another firmware version dedicated for KP J limited whenever the camera comes. The version for KP J limited will include custom U5 settings.

I believe the different firmware for KP J limited mainly accounts for U5 option on the mode dial, which is the camera settings that were chosen by photographer Kazutoshi Yoshimura.

There is no built-in skin smoothing feature on Pentax K-50. There are options like 'Clarity' and 'Skin Tone' that you could use to enhance skin on Pentax K-70 or Pentax KP.
I would not recommend you to choose Pentax if you are looking for the automatically skin smoothing feature. Smartphone cameras are good at that kind of things in many cases. If you are looking for an interchangeable lens camera, you may have a look at Fujifilm X-A5. Above all, I would highly recommend you to learn how to post-process and retouch the photos; there is the learning curve, of course.

You will get f/1.9 for exposure at the wide open aperture. Using the same lens, the main difference between 35mm full-frame and crop sensor is the field of view.

I own Yongnuo YN585EX and Metz 58 AF-2. I highly recommend the later for its supported modes, as it offers P-TTL with HSS as well as auto mode. Nevertheless, I don't like the menu and buttons on the Metz 58 AF-2. It takes too many key presses to adjust a simple thing likes flash compensation.
If you don't need HSS, however, YN585EX is a good option. It is sturdy and relatively cheap. I can adjust flash compensation much quicker on the Yongnuo one. I prefer to use my Yongnuo as an on-camera flash when I don't need HSS, e.g. indoor shoots.

If I can make a profit, I will definitely sell.
It depends on how much money I may earn from selling the gears. Rather than restricting myself to any particular brand, I will look for the best bang for my buck.
Here's my list of preferred features:
1. compact APS-C sensor size body: 35mm format is probably too heavy for me. It is true that 35mm mirrorless body is lightweight but the lenses are still heavy.
2. good image quality (dynamic range, noise, resolution, etc.): I believe all the modern models are more than good enough
3. durable and weather-sealed camera body
4. have a good selection of weather-sealed lenses
5. great ergonomics camera body
6. both body and lenses shall be affordable in term of the price!!
7. good autofocus
8. in-body image stabilization
9. high customizability
10. long life battery
Well... from what I can see, only Pentax may satisfy most of my requirements at the moment.

From what you said, I think 18-55mm WR suits you most. I believe that it is the cheapest WR lens you can find for Pentax.

Based on my own experience of over the past 2 years in Sydney, the majority of tourists that come to Sydney use either Canon or Nikon entry-level bodies. For enthusiasts, Sony users are becoming more common. Occasionally, I see Fuji and Olympus. I guess we are rare because I have encountered only 3 Pentax users over the past 2 years. Only one of them bring along the Pentax camera. The others two just said they use Pentax.

There is no one size fits all solution for everyone. It all comes down to your needs and also preferences.
You may use multiple programs to process your photos by picking the right tool for the right job. One software may be excel at raw development, while another one is more convenient for retouching. But this approach requires you to export the files from one software and passes them to another. As a consequence, it usually results in more steps in your workflow, which may demand more time as well as disk space on your computer. Also, if your source program cannot export DNG or TIFF, your destination program may be limited to only available information in JPEG for retouching. You will not experience such a problem with Adobe suite, of course.
The clear benefit of using one tool to do them all is convenience. You also do not have to worry about the loss of information when export/import from one program to another. The drawback is, however, the limitation of that particular software that you use. Based on my experience, there is no one perfect post-processing software to suit my taste.
I, myself, choose the former approach. My workflow usually starts with raw development DxO Optics Pro essential edition, which I got it for free. Few photos that require more processing will be exported to DNG and passed to Darktable. GIMP is at the end of my workflow, but I rarely need it.
If you want to use only one software, I would recommend you to have a look at ON1 Photo Raw 2018, which is currently on sale. The offer expires on this 16th of August. ON1 Summer Special! |

At least they spend some time and effort to do it, so I feel positive about the video in that regard.
I am not surprised that they do not know much about K-01 and Q series since they mostly shoot with Canon and Nikon. In the same way, not every Pentaxian know about all of Pentax cameras. Further, it is undeniable fact that Pentax is not one of the mainstream brands out there. On the plus side, Tony even praised Pentax K-1 as the best camera for landscape photography.
I fully agree that the content and information in the video could be improved if they do spend more time. But in the end, they are just another couple who run Youtube channel about photography. We cannot expect them to be so perfect in producing this video.
What we could do is perhaps politely give them feedback and tell them about the information that we know but they do not.

Since YN560 IV has the optical trigger, I believe you could put Pentax flash on camera as a master/controller to trigger two Yongnuo flashes.
If you do not mind manual mode, you could use another flash to trigger the slave off-camera 360FGZ ii without P-TTL.
