I was going towards zero clicks in December due to lack of interest, but the perfect winter day on 31st got me shooting again. After latest snowfall there is a big snowload on the trees and especially smaller ones struggle under the load.

This one was taken in the early morning back in May, with the rising sun coming through the mist, left to right. It was taken with an M 28mm f2.8 lens at f11. Editing mainly with Photoscape.

This old chair was sitting at the end of my street the other day so I rushed to get a camera before someone had it away :)
M 35mm f/2. I don't often use this lens wide open but a PP boost to contrast and sharpness got rid of much of the glow in the first one. The second one might have been at f/2.8, I'm not sure.

Yep, that's Madrid.
That final shout with the 80-200mm is fantastic. I had one of these briefly but sold out as I prefer primes but now I fancy giving it a fair short. Similarly with the M 50/4 macro - I sold it because I already had the A 50/2.8 macro but the few shots I took with it had great rendering. Another I should give a second chance.

100/2.8
120/2.8
75-150/4
I've never been impressed with the M 28mm lenses, have owned and sold all three (2.8 v1, 2.8 v2 and 3.5). The 135/3.5 and 200/4 have gone the same way.
The 20/4 is on my watch list, as is the 28/2.
But the M series remains my favourite as they're small, very well built, generally cheap and give lovely images.

Glad you rediscovered them; I think that is the great thing about this thread. I bought the album back in the 80's when 'The Flame' hit the charts. I think that might have been their only mainstream hit. 'Standing on the Edge' from a few years earlier is also worth a listen:

Some interesting perspectives of The Big Apple there Ed, thanks for sharing. The building in that last one is unique, an example of the newer trends in architecture, odd angles that at one time might have been thought impossible to engineer.

Funnily enough I feel this way about lenses but not cameras. I frankly do not like the latest ones much. All they offer is extra speed and a few extra bells and whistles which may be of benefit to a pro but for 99.9% of the time are superfluous. I have sold all my XTrans III sensor cameras and now stick to the earlier models. I prefer the look of the IQ and the menus are simpler. My K3 and KP will be up for sale shortly as since I got the K5 I prefer its ergonomics and the 16MP sensor is plenty good enough for my intended purposes. I can live with its slow processing. ALthough I now have the K1 ii, it can hardly be said to be the latest cutting edge in tech. and should a newer version ever hit the streets I can't see any improvements that would tempt me to upgrade. When it comes to lenses however, I am always looking for something better. Should Pentax ever bring out a lens for instance that matched the 50mm FA* for IQ but was significantly smaller I would be all over it.
