There is further interesting information on the Seiko web page linked to above.
"Cycle Life (Time)100% D.O.D(Depth of Discharge) 50
Cycle Life (Time)20% D.O.D(Depth of Discharge) 500 "
I interpret this as meaning that the expected end of life for the battery occurs after it is fully discharged 50 times; but, it may be discharged 500 times if the discharge is only 20% of capacity. So, battery life is prolonged by avoiding deep discharge cycles.
Since the D-Li90 battery also uses Lithium technology its life cycle might be similarly influenced by depth of discharge.

If you are going to the seaside, why not use the horizon as a level reference.

Nice to see that it is holding close to its original price. I thought the K-1 was an excellent value when I bought it, and I guess it still is. Like computers, price/performance keeps improving over time. But the K-1 seems to have been enough ahead of the curve to hold its value. Pentax has always been a leader. I have an Asahi Pentax, the first SLR that I bought in Tokyo in 1967. That pioneering camera was an inspiration for a lot of subsequent cameras.
