I have never tried the 18-135, but do own the Tamron 18-250, while it may not perform like a prime as expected it is very versatile when I am traveling which I appreciate very much.

Have you done any post processing to get rid of CA or are the shots directly from the camera? I was expecting more CA.

I'm in the same dilemma as you regarding choosing either the Tamron or the Sigma APO. I have kind of selected the Tamron now due to the sharpness. The drawback is the CA (purple fringing) people are talking about but I don't see that in LaRee's lovely shots.
