I have no idea what you mean by red lines.
Anyways, on the 645z you get focus confirmation (green hexagon) in the viewfinder.

Which Sony body? I use adapted lenses frequently in an a7RIII. I’m unclear what red lines you mean.

The focusing should work the same as a Pentax lens in MF mode. Also, you do get focus peaking in live view in addition to the viewfinder AF confirmation.

With a non P645 lens on the 645z you can only use spot focus, and if the feature is switched on, you also get the red square lighting up on the point of focus, ie at the center spot. That is in addition to the green hexagon at the bottom of the view finder.
Another option is to change the focus screen to a spilt focus screen, which will show focus on any lens, although spot focus only.
