Nice capture, #ThankYou for sharing! Those feet grab my attention maybe most. It's a great shot for helping people see what birds do with the entire of their bodies during flight. :)

My favorite winter snow storm warning song birds. I can feel the sun's "warmth" from the concrete pedestal there. :)

I'm always a sucker for the various Creepers that run up and down the tree trunks. I like what looks like a Nuthatch in that third pic, especially considering that your location appears to *possibly* be Siberia. Very cool. #ThankYou for sharing! :D

Nice capture. I can appreciate the effort. I was chasing a Carolina Wren around the ground via video camera yesterday. Wrens don't know how to sit still for even 2 seconds back to back....... :D

What about choice of operating systems, too? I'm a long time Linux user (Debian Stretch/Stable at this second) so I'm familiar with the gradual progression toward more consistent browser experience. It's way better than it ever was, but sometimes it still feels like there are some incompatibility glitches there. Some shtuff occasionally still doesn't work quite as expected. :)

I like that first one, too. Are the power lines in the second one, or are they just out of view? It almost looks like I can see them *only* because I've seen them more visible in the third one. If they *are* in that second image, they're nicely concealed.
It's no thing. I'm just appreciating someone else having Georgia power lines in their images. My small yard is surrounded. I finally gave up trying to pretend they aren't there. And don't get me started about the transformer box that invariably ends up bullying its way into pics.

Good thread. My situation being what it is, I'm macro over telephoto.
I've done the filters. Bottom of the bottomest barrel at the back, darkest, most spider web filled corner of the bottom basement value pack. Even then, I still managed a few images I liked but was ready to move on quick within a few minutes.
Extension tubes, I've goofed around with the DIY way. Actually saw some potential for fun there. That's an eventual to-do to try that even more seriously.
Bellows, have played around with that. *Patience (and coordination) pays* when going that route. For me, it was mostly about just winding that thing back and forth up and down that rail. Since I tend to like having older, very low budget level equipment in my hands, that means that equipment is occasionally very cranky, too. :)
Macro prime.. Don't know if I've put my hands on that yet. I still get twisted around on the terminology.
Macro zoom, I *have* had my hands on. I LIKE... The first time experiencing that was one of my most memorable *wow* moments about photography so far. My lifestyle needs simple yet reasonably variable at the same time. I seem to tend to like to be slightly distanced from a targeted victim and then draw it in closer. At this precise moment in time, macro zoom seems to cover those couple things nicely in *my* use case.
As much as macro zooms fit my need, the drawback I've found with the ones I've played with is that there *is* often that greater distance between the lens and the subject matter. Sometimes you do want to just be right there in that matter's face, and that doesn't work with some lenses. That's definitely a conscious check off point for me when thinking about how badly do I want some given, beat up old macro leaning lens. :)

I love it! Its images are dredging up fond memories of Huey, Dewey, and Louie in the 1970's movie, Silent Running. Your combo has *personality* there. :)
